Shay flashed a shy smile, a touch of worry in her voice. "Mary, what's going on with Sean? I feel like he's hiding things from me to keep me from worrying, but honestly, I'm really concerned about him."
Mary sighed and gave a tired smile. "Sean's been chasing after Shannon, but she keeps turning him down. Last night, he drank way too much, mumbling about how Shannon doesn't want him anymore and won't even look at him. It broke my heart to see him like that. Shannon should really appreciate what she's got; guys like Sean don't come around every day."
Shay couldn't understand how this stand-in managed to capture Finley's heart. What did she have that Shay didn't?
With answers in hand, Shay walked away.

Josefina arrived at Livia's place, carrying a basket of fruit. This visit felt different than the last.
Livia greeted her with a bright smile. "Josie, come on in!"
Excited and hopeful, Josefina asked, "You remember me? Have your memories come back?"
Livia looked a bit embarrassed. "I haven't gotten my memories back, but I read through my old diaries. They told me about you and how close we were. So, Josie, let's get to know each other all over again."
Josefina felt a twinge of disappointment but kept it hidden, maintaining her cheerful demeanor. "Livia, seeing you this happy is such a relief. I just hope you keep smiling."
Livia pulled her inside, and they settled on the couch, chatting while Bobby the dog lounged at Livia's feet.
"This is Bobby. I met him back when I was at Finley's, and I just adored him. Finley said Bobby missed me and was restless without me, so I brought him over. As for Finley and me, that's a dead end. He's a real piece of work, keeps coming back for more."
Josefina couldn't help but chuckle at Livia's words, seeing that Finley truly didn't matter to her anymore.
This was a good thing.
Moving on from a lousy ex and starting fresh.
