Dawn was breaking as Livia strolled through the park, leash in hand and her faithful dog, Bobby, trotting alongside her. Out of nowhere, Finley appeared, clutching a bag of breakfast goodies as he tried to catch up with her.
"Bobby, let's head back home. We've got company," Livia said, a hint of disdain in her voice as she pulled Bobby away from Finley.
Panting, Finley finally caught up with her. "Livia, I brought you breakfast."

With a bitter smile, Finley replied, "Can't we just be friends, Livia?"
"You're pathetic, Finley. You didn't want me when I was available, and now that I'm over you, you come sniffing around. What, is this fun for you? Always wanting what you can't have?"
"Livia, I..."
"Enough. Go find your precious Shay," she cut him off, pulling Bobby into the elevator. Finley was left outside, heartbroken.
