Cassandra's medical society was buzzing with activity, and she'd even represented the school in a competition. Meanwhile, over at Josefina's camp, it was like watching paint dry—nothing was happening.
Josefina herself was as cool as a cucumber, and seeing her so relaxed, Mandy didn't feel the need to stress either. They might have been chill, but everyone else was in a tizzy. Being shown up by the new kid on the block was a hard pill to swallow.
So, a bunch of folks stormed into the medical club's office, demanding some answers.
"Josefina, the medical society is already all over the school competition, and we've done zilch. If this keeps up, we'll definitely get outshined," one person grumbled.
"Yeah, we joined your club expecting to do something. But so far, nothing's happened. The clubhouse that's been under construction forever is still not done. The semester's almost over, and we've got nothing to show for it," another chimed in.
"Josefina, you can't keep stringing us along! If I had known, I would've joined the medical society instead," someone else threw in.
"We were promised so much when we joined the club. I thought we'd achieve something big. Turns out I was just naive," added another voice.
They aired their grievances one after another, like Josefina had led them into some huge disaster.
Josefina sat in her chair, looking at the crowd blocking the door with a calm expression, as if these issues were just a minor hiccup to her.
With a steady voice, Josefina asked, "So, is that how you all feel? Thinking of quitting the club?"
The group exchanged glances, falling into an uneasy silence at her question.
Just then, Cassandra stood at the doorway, chuckling softly. "Really? You all still think you can achieve anything with Josefina leading the way? The club's been around for ages with no results. Stick with her, and you're going nowhere."
Cassandra's words stirred the crowd effectively. They looked around at each other, nodding at how much sense she made.
She continued, "Following Josefina will get you nowhere. It's like a bird choosing the right tree to nest in. Don't you agree?"
