Chapter 1207 Lenoirs and Grays
"That d*mn Mr. Lenoir, it's always that Mr. Lenoir!"
Once more, the Lenoir family stood in his path, eliciting furious remarks as he clenched his fists tightly by his sides.
Back in years gone by, both sisters from the Vines family had married different families—the elder to Hansen Lenoir, and the younger to Anthony Gray.
Ever since, it didn't matter who it was; whenever Hansen's name was mentioned, it was always with admiration. Everyone would make passing references to his remarkable qualities.
Even Dorothy, in her conversations, would unfailingly praise her brother-in-law.
In what aspect was he ever considered less than the Lenoirs? To endure such humiliation was unfathomable to him!
Subsequently, he schemed with Hansen's brother, Raymond, to leave behind Hansen's younger twin son.
They deliberately leaked news of the lost child to Hansen, attempting to stray his focus away from his work.
Back then, Anthony and Raymond believed that if Hansen concentrated his efforts on locating his son, it would earn them ample opportunity to catch up in his footsteps.
At least in the eyes of others, the disparity between them and Hansen wouldn't appear so pronounced.
In accordance with their expectations, Hansen redirected all his energies toward finding his missing child.
As the years passed, Anthony's fortunes took a downturn.
Hansen extended a lifeline, offering him twenty million to rebuild, with the understanding that if successful, repayment wouldn't be necessary—only assistance in locating his missing son.
At the sight of the money, Anthony grinned smugly.
How could Anthony not know the whereabouts of Hansen's son?
After all, Anthony had been the one to conceal him—he held the key to Hansen's quest.
Despite this knowledge, Anthony maintained a facade of diligence before Hansen's eyes.
In doing so, he persevered with his act until the child reached the age of eight.
Raymond contacted Anthony with a new scheme, revealing that Hansen and his wife were soon to meet their ends with a fatal car accident.
He suggested bringing back the child half a month ahead of schedule so that Dorothy could testify to his identity as a legitimate Lenoir heir.
There was a moment of silence on Damien's end, then a faint chuckle.
"If you wish to meet, let's do it at the hospital," Damien suggested. "In Dorothy's ward. You should know where that is, do you?"
Anthony's eyes narrowed, and he sniggered, "Of course I know where my wife's ward is."
"Are you sure you recall correctly that she's your wife?" Damien's voice was calm, almost indifferent. "It's been more than a month since you last went to see her."
"I assumed you were too caught up in indulging in Florence's loving bosoms to remember you have a wife," Damien's voice cut through the line.
Anthony's grip on the phone tightened, a slight tremor running through his hand.
"Damien, is there nothing in this world you don't know?" Anthony asked, his tone edged with frustration.
"I must admit, there's little that escapes my awareness," Damien replied coolly.
From the towering windows of the Gray Group building, Damien looked down at the middle-aged man standing alone on the street below. "Uncle Anthony, I believe it's high time you settle your debt with us, Lenoirs. Don't you think so?"

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
