Chapter 1092 Colin's Proposition
Cherise felt her breath catch in her throat as she beheld the man seated before her. It was because the man seated before her was… a near mirror image of Damien, save for his piercing blue eyes. Cherise would've thought Damien was sitting before her if not for that.
If Damien was a perfect ten in appearance, this man was easily rated a nine, his features echoing Damien's with flawless precision. The only discernible differences lay in the hue of his eyes and subtle facial nuances. But only Cherise, privy to Damien's every detail, could detect these subtleties. This man could pass as Damien sporting blue contact lenses to any outsider.
"Who are you?" Damien's voice sliced through the tension, cold and probing, his eyes narrowing.
"I'm Jude's brother, Colin Gray," the man replied stiffly as if grappling with the language. "Jude was correct in noting our resemblance. I see I haven't come here in vain."
Damien studied him intently, his gaze piercing, yet he held his silence.
"Do not gaze upon me with such hostility. We're not adversaries. Like Jude, I come bearing a proposition," Colin yawned, lifting his teacup to his lips. "I offer to surrender these two individuals to you. In exchange, you'll assume my role within the Gray family. Care for my mother and fulfill my marital obligations to the lady I've hesitated to wed."
"And as for myself..." Colin's tone dripped with arrogance as he continued, "I will oversee Lenoir Group's operations and tend to your sister, wife, and children. Otherwise," he added with a faint smirk, "I'll see to it that everyone on this island perishes with you today."
Unnerved by Damien's unwavering composure, Colin cleared his throat and pretended to regain his composure. "Our resemblance is so uncanny. With the blue contact lenses I've prepared, you could easily masquerade as me." As he reached for the steaming tea on the table, Colin failed to notice it was one of the cups intended for Damien and Cherise. He hadn't thought much about it. He just wanted to make himself seem more poised.
"You appear a bit flustered," Damien mercilessly pointed out Colin's oversight. "Compared to your brother, Jude, you seem ill-equipped for such formidable tasks of threatening others."
Colin remained speechless, his façade faltering in the face of Damien's unwavering scrutiny.

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
