As Damien navigated the speedboat to the island where Raymond was, Cherise disembarked and sensed her legs falter beneath her.
As efficient as ever, Damien's subordinates swiftly penetrated the defenses of the black-clad guards stationed outside, encircling the villa. "Mr. Lenoir," Otto, who had been lurking nearby, rushed over to deliver his report. However, upon catching sight of Cherise, he abruptly froze in his tracks. "The villa has two exits, one facing the front and the other at the rear," Otto finally breathed a sigh of relief, his voice hushed as he reported. Damien's brow knit in a frown, poised to interject, when the front door swung open. "Greetings, esteemed guests. Please, do come inside," a middle-aged woman garbed in servant's attire chirped as she stepped out. "My master has thoughtfully prepared hot tea for your enjoyment."
Otto cast a frightened glance at Damien. "This is the villa's servant..."
"The night air bears a chill," the servant remarked louder when met with silence. Raising her voice, she continued, "My master thoughtfully noted that a steaming cup of tea would be a most welcome respite on such a cold evening. Especially with a lady among you."
Otto turned to Damien, his expression a blank slate. "Mr. Lenoir, what do we do?"
Raymond's apparent lack of status struck them even more, starkly contrasting with Beckham's relatively comfortable confinement. While Beckham sat restrained in a chair with cushioned support, Raymond knelt, his restraints leaving him in an inferior position that was difficult to fathom.
Cherise stole a glance at Damien, who, despite his shock, maintained his composure. Squinting, he addressed the figure before them, "And who might you be..."
"Hello, Damien." The man offered a faint smile, turning to meet Damien's gaze.
