Marrying the Man in the Dark (Damien and Cherise) novel Chapter 1085

Chapter 1085 The Silent Interloper
Damien never imagined that Beckham Tanner, usually calm and composed, would rush headlong toward Raymond without considering the consequences. If anything happened to Beckham, Damien dreaded facing Cherise.

The more Damien thought about it, the more anxious he became. He hadn't even noticed Otto bringing a large suitcase onto the plane.

"Sir."

Damien nodded absentmindedly as Otto settled into his seat. He was more intent on getting the pilot to start their journey as soon as possible. It wasn't until the plane was in the air that he snapped back to reality and glanced at Otto. "Did Cherise wake up?"

Otto swallowed, hesitating for a moment, then nodded. "No, she didn't. She's still sleeping off the effects of the wine, just muttering much nonsense in her sleep."

"Silly girl." Damien couldn't help but smile.

Otto clenched his fist until it turned white, debating whether to speak up. Eventually, he chose to remain silent, his gaze shifting to the giant suitcase he had brought onto the plane.

Mrs. Lenoir was petite and slim. Otto had watched as she effortlessly climbed into the suitcase, even tucking in a pillow for comfort, resembling a contented cat.

So... she would be fine, wouldn't she?

Mrs. Lenoir insisted that they wait until the plane reached its destination before revealing herself. Otherwise, knowing Damien, he would have the plane land midway and drop her off.

Otto nodded solemnly. "Yes, Mr. Lenoir."

"And this one." Damien took a deep breath, indicating the second photo, "This... is my father-in-law, Beckham Tanner, Cherise's father. He was supposed to wait for me so we could track down my uncle together. Instead, he came here on his own while I was preoccupied with another matter. We don't know his current situation or whether he's safe at the moment. Finding him is our top priority."

Otto nodded, listening carefully to the instructions while sneaking a glance at the suitcase behind the seat. It was silent, as though no one was inside. He began to doubt himself, wondering if he had brought the wrong bag.

However, he didn't dare let himself be distracted for long. He turned his head to listen attentively as the rest of the plan was laid out.

Unbeknownst to Otto, from within the suitcase, Cherise was listening just as intently to Damien Lenoir's words, her fists clenched tight, and her lips bruised from biting down on them.Cherise had never realized that Damien had done so many things for her.
