Chapter 1084 Beckham in Danger
Damien cradled Cherise in his arms as he strode out of the private room.

Watching the majestic figure of Damien depart with his beloved wrapped in his embrace, Steve found himself inspired.

Damien Lenoir was a man who embodied intelligence and self-possession even in the face of adversity. Moreover, he was a devoted husband to Cherise, understanding her moods more than she did herself. He was the perfect man for Steve—any man in the world, really—to look up to.

Damien slowly laid Cherise in the back seat of the car and gently tucked a blanket around her.

"Cherise," he whispered, gently brushing his fingers against her cheek. "I understand the pain of losing parents. Mine are gone too." He smiled faintly. "That's all the more reason I won't stand idly by while your father is in danger. Even if it means risking my life, I'll bring him back safely to you."

Cherise wrapped herself tighter within the blankets, trying to contain all her worries and her emotions, even as tears continued to trickle down her face. His words only confirmed her suspicions. Something terrible had indeed happened. And the one in trouble was her closest relative in the world. Her father.

"Otto," Damien called as he stepped out of the car, retracting his hand. "I'll go to the airport with Mr. Hampson first. When Steve comes down later, let him take the car, then hurry to the airport."

As Cherise heard the car engine rev, she sat up and peered out the window, watching as Damien and Mr. Hampson drove away. She bit her lip, then spoke up. "Otto, could you do me a favor?"

"Mrs. Lenoir!" Otto glanced back with surprise. "I thought you weren't feeling well."

Meanwhile, Damien swiftly boarded the plane the moment they reached the airport. As he waited for Otto to arrive, he dispatched man after man to the Mediterranean. He also used this time to try to get a hold of Beckham, but the call went unanswered.

Sinking into the plush leather seat, Damien rested his hands against his forehead. He prayed it wasn't too late by the time they arrived. Otherwise, he didn't know how he would explain everything to Cherise.

He was the one who told Beckham about Raymond's hiding place, but he never anticipated that Beckham would strike out on his own.Back in Adania, Damien clearly remembered Beckham saying that he was going back to gather his men and settle family matters first. He was supposed to wait as Damien handled Sebastian first before going in search of Raymond together.
