Eliana agreed with Theodore and said, “Then we can just buy a pair of fake ones from a street stall. You don’t need to spend so much money.”
Hearing this, Theodore frowned and asked, “How can we buy fake wedding rings?”
“Our marriage is fake anyway. What does it matter if we have fake wedding rings?” Eliana said coldly, her eyes full of indifference.
Theodore’s face turned cloudy, then he said to the driver, “Go to Vellum Glow.”
Eliana interjected, “No, go to Elm Street.” There were many street vendors there.
The driver asked cautiously, “Mr. Russell, Mrs. Russell, where exactly are we going?”
“Ellie, don’t be so stubborn.” Theodore looked at her, his voice calm but uncompromising.
Eliana insisted. “We haven’t even reached Bernie’s yet. You don’t need to start acting right now.”
She thought he wanted to buy her a wedding ring just to better fool Bernie.
Theodore clenched his hands. “Yesterday you were crying and begging me to pick you up from the police station, but today you’re treating me so coldly. Eliana, is your heart made of stone?”
Upon hearing this, Eliana said in shame and anger, “I didn’t cry! Don’t talk nonsense.”
She had just been in a bad mood, so her voice had a nasal tone, but she really hadn’t cried.
“You were clearly begging me. Gosh, I was so worried about you.” Theodore looked into her eyes earnestly and said, “I even considered canceling the meeting to pick you up myself.”
Eliana was astonished. She hadn’t expected she’d almost made Theodore make such an impulsive decision.
If he had canceled the meeting, it would have left a bad impression on the executives.
Seeing she seemed moved, Theodore continued, “Last night, I should have let Alice fall to the ground so you wouldn’t have misunderstood me.”
Eliana bit her lower lip. She didn’t want to think the worst of his relationship with Alice, but when Theodore and Alice stood together, their perfect match always made her feel powerless.
Eliana stared blankly for the entire drive. When she came to her senses, they were already outside the main store of Vellum Glow.
“Come on, let’s go,” Theodore said.
She couldn’t argue with him, so she decided to return the wedding ring to him after visiting Bernie today.
Felix, who was inspecting the main store, instinctively turned around when he heard the commotion at the door. To his surprise, Theodore and Eliana
walked in.
After a moment of surprise, Felix stepped forward and gently punched Theodore in the chest. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”
Theodore said indifferently, “Why should we? I brought enough money.”
Felix laughed, then looked at Eliana. “Eliana, glad to meet you again.”
Eliana had a good impression of him, so she smiled and greeted him.

“Don’t call me Mr. Yates. Just call me Felix,” Felix said, leading her away from Theodore. As they walked, he added, “If you see anything you like, just tell me. I’ll wrap it up as a wedding gift for you.”
Looking at the dazzling array of jewelry in the store, Eliana felt overwhelmed. If she had weaker willpower, she might have nodded immediately at Felix’s
offer.
But she still had some sense. She was only in this store because of Theodore. “No, Mr. Yates. I can’t accept such an expensive gift.”
Felix took a closer look at her and realized she wasn’t being polite. Eliana had grown up in an ordinary family but had such integrity. Felix couldn’t help thinking Theodore was incredibly lucky.
This made Felix treat her even more warmly. “It’s okay. Let me show you around slowly. Just have Theodore buy the jewelry you like.”
Seeing them chatting happily, Theodore said coldly, “Felix, save it. We’re here to buy wedding rings today.”
Hearing this, Felix glanced at Eliana sympathetically and said to Theodore, “You’re buying wedding rings this late? You’re so lame.”
After jokingly scolding Theodore, Felix personally led them to the VIP reception room.
Soon, various sizes of diamond rings were placed in front of Eliana, but she chose the smallest pair. After all, she and Theodore were just pretending to be husband and wife in front of Bernice.
Felix couldn’t help laughing and asking, “Eliana, are you worried Theodore didn’t bring enough money? Your choice is too casual.”
“No, I think this pair is enough,” Eliana said while looking at Theodore. “Is that okay?”
Theodore knew what she was thinking. Although he was unhappy, he respected her wish. “Okay.”
So Eliana tried to put on the women’s ring first, but Felix interrupted, “Who puts on their own wedding ring? You should at least exchange rings.”
Eliana thought, ‘Is this really necessary?‘ She blinked at Theodore, conveying her thoughts.
Theodore deliberately ignored her gaze. After nodding, he actively held out his hand to her.
Eliana had to put the ring on him. At that moment, she suddenly felt they were finally married, a feeling she had never experienced before.
Then, he gently lifted her left hand, took the ring from her other hand, and gently slid it onto her ring finger.
