Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone, upon hearing Isaac’s voice, Belinda immediately shouted, “Hannah, let
him talk. Isaac may be silly, but he wouldn’t lie to me.”
Isaac chimed in, “Yeah, the teacher says lying isn’t something good kids do.”
Hannah wasn’t sure if he was doing it on purpose.
Then Belinda asked in a huff, “Isaac, when I wasn’t home, did your dad bring that bitch back?”
Isaac, chewing instant noodles, mumbled, “What bitch? Dad goes to the company every day. I haven’t seen him bring anyone back.”
Belinda’s tone turned even worse. “He goes to the company every day?”
Issac said, “Yeah, like he did today–”
Hearing the sound of grinding teeth from the other end, Hannah quickly nudged Isaac and said, “Alright, Issac, go finish your breakfast.”
“Okay.” Isaac replied, then suddenly remembered something, “Oh right, Hannah, I’m going out to my language course later, so I won’t be back for lunch.”
Hannah nodded a couple of times to show she’d heard.
On the other end of the phone, Belinda rudely asked, “What language course is he taking?”
“I don’t know, I didn’t ask.” She had always been indifferent to Isaac, and Belinda knew that.
But Belinda suddenly lashed out, “Hannah, he’s your brother. When I’m not home, can’t you care about him a bit more?”
Upon hearing that, Hannah instantly felt annoyed. “Mom, that’s enough I know you’re in a bad mood, but don’t take it out on me, okay?”
Belinda snapped, “Hannah, I raised you all these years, and this is the attitude you give me?”
“I didn’t-” It was the first time Hannah had been scolded by Belinda, and she felt both wronged and angry.
But on second thought, Hudson and Issac seemed to be doing better and better, while Hannha and Belinda had actually started blaming each other.
Hannah said, “Mom, can we both calm down?”
“How am I supposed to calm down? That bitch has seduced your father so much that he’s not even home on weekends now. I have to get your uncle to sort him out.”

“Mom–” Hannah wanted to persuade her to quit, but Belinda hung up on her. She was so angry that she threw her phone on the ground. Hannah thought, ‘What the hell is wrong with her?‘
