Married To The Blind Heir (by Tessa Galvin) novel Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Her Blind Husband

At night, in the Russell Manor of Covenhill, the butler Wyatt Lewis said, "Mrs. Russell, tonight is your wedding night with Mr. Russell. Please enjoy your evening."

"Wyatt, I—" Eliana Burke had just started to speak when Wyatt shut the door quickly.

Left with no choice, she turned around. Before she could get a good look at the room, a glass came flying straight at her, followed by a harsh, furious shout. "Get out."

Eliana instinctively dodged to the side and realized the glass had missed her.

When she looked up again, she saw an incredibly handsome man leaning against the headboard, glaring in her direction with a face full of hostility.

This was the man Eliana had just married, the one her grandfather Caleb Burke had arranged for her in his youth—Theodore Russell.

This marriage had started as a verbal agreement made by both of their grandfathers when they were young. Later, the Russell family had risen under Theodore's father, Logan Russell, and grown into a business empire with the founding of Russell Group.

Eliana's father, Hudson Burke, gave up bringing up the arranged marriage after being turned away a few times.

But just a few days ago, Theodore's grandfather, Daniel Russell, suddenly showed up at Burke Manor in person. After a long private talk with Hudson in the study, they finalized the wedding date between Eliana and Theodore.

Still, a "blessing" like this was never meant for her. It all came down to the fact that two years ago, Theodore had been in a car accident. He'd survived, but lost his eyesight.

The woman who was supposed to marry him had left him. Other single heiresses were scared of his temper and refused to marry him.

Rumor had it that Theodore was the kind of man who'd broken his younger brother's leg and framed his own father to send him to prison over business interests.

Plus, now that he was blind and no longer the head of Russell Group, marrying him brought zero benefits.

But Eliana's father, Hudson, still used the excuse of loyalty and family honor to sell her off just like that.

'Then again, he's got two daughters, doesn't he?' Eliana thought mockingly.

On the other side of the room, when Theodore didn't hear Eliana open the door and leave the room, he grew even more irritable. "I told you to get out. Are you deaf or what?"
