Shawn was excited to receive Matthew's instructions.

His days had been uneventful lately. He felt like his body was rusting. But now, he could finally have fun.

He gathered his men. Then, the group headed toward Montiria in SUVs and searched for their targets along the way.

The Gloam Wing had been divided into five SUVs as they returned to Montiria by the highway.

Cyrus took the first car. He was reporting to Gadel. "Your Majesty, Matthew refused to see us and even sent a vicious woman to tell us off. We couldn't stand her insults and pushed her, but she—"

"I understand. We'll discuss it after you return," Gadel interrupted before Cyrus could finish. He sounded exhausted over the phone.

As Cyrus hung up the phone, he sneered.

The rulers were known for being skeptical since ancient times. He believed Gadel would lose trust in Matthew after hearing their story.

After observing their surroundings with the binoculars, a member in the back reported, "Commander Hale, some people are tailing us. They're approaching us in SUVs."

Cyrus' smile froze on his face. Is Matthew coming after me?

"Let's move at full speed. We can't allow them to surround us."

The convoy of Gloam Wing accelerated, gradually pulling away from Shawn's group.

Shawn was furious when he noticed their attempt to outrun him from his convertible SUV.

"D*mn these little b*stards! Let's see if you can outrun a projectile."

Cyrus broke into a sweat at the sight of the crater. Did they have to do this for an old woman?

He understood why Matthew's people hunted his group down and wanted his group to stop, but using a rocket launcher was too much.

As two SUVs sped up to block his path ahead, he realized there was no escape. He reluctantly signaled for his men to stop.

He retrieved a sword from under the seat and exited the car. He watched while holding the sword up in the open space as the SUVs surrounded his group.

"I'm Cyrus Hale, the commander of Gloam Wing from Montiria. Who will fight me?"

"I will!" Shawn answered in excitement as he hopped out of the car. Then, he faced Cyrus with his chosen weapon.

Cyrus fell into silence at the visage of Shawn's weapon.
