"I've paid for the room! You can't stuff people into my room!"
A doctor in a coat and a nurse with puffy eyes were in the room. The latter rubbed her eyes in distress.
"Miss Freeman, allow me to explain. There have been many inpatients recently. Now the patients staying on the fourth floor have to share rooms. We can refund you half of your money."
The explanation earned the doctor a glare and curses.
"Who do you take me as? I'm more than capable of affording the medical bills! Do you know who my son-in-law is? You'll regret your poor treatment of me when you discover who he is!"
Helen scolded the nurse when the nurse informed her about the news earlier. Those harsh words hurt her, and she had to seek the doctor's help in tears.
The doctor first thought the nurse was a snowflake who got offended in a silly way, but now he saw the reason.
His gaze fell on Helen, who was cursing non-stop on the bed, and bit the inside of his cheek.
"Miss Freeman, we'll have to arrange for your discharge if you keep on like this."
"Go ahead! By then, everyone will see how unprofessional the hospital is. You only target ordinary people who can't fight back against the system!"
Matthew held back his urge to roll his eyes. Helen's unreasonable behavior was difficult to deal with. Still, he had no other choice but to intervene now.
The door creaked open as he stepped into the room. "Doctor, I'm the patient's family. May I know what's going on?"
Helen stopped upon seeing him arrive. Yes! Talk some sense into the d*mn doctor and nurse!
"Here's the thing. Due to the recent increase in inpatients, we had to make two patients share one room. We'll refund you the original amount," the doctor hurriedly explained to the seemingly reasonable newcomer.
Even though Helen had it coming, it wasn't up to the outsiders to teach her a lesson. They have crossed a line.
"Yes, Boss? What can I help you with? I thought you had forgotten about me, you know?" Shawn's voice sounded resentful over the phone, giving Matthew the goosebumps.
"Prince, I want to ask you a favor."
Shawn sounded more serious this time. "I'm listening."
"Take some men to search for a large group of men in black along the way to Montiria. Beat them up when you find them, but don't kill them unless it's necessary."
"Got it, Boss. I'll leave right away."
