Loving My Daddies novel Chapter 16

Twins POV.

We can't even take care of a small puppy, he ended up sleeping with Julia and Ricky. It's not our fault that he misses his daddies, he was just acting up more than usual.

The next morning he was still in wolf, still mad at his daddies for being away. He walked in wiggling his little diapered bum still attached to Julia. Those two were never close but right now he's acting too attached to her.

We were having breakfast as usual with the puppy sitting in Julia's lap and eating from her fork.

It was business as usual until the guys came in, Oliver jumped all happy to see his daddies then frowned again remembering he was mad at his daddies.

Jasper on the other hand was holding a little bundle in his arms, a little girl with brown eyes and brown curly hair. She must be the little they went on a mission to save, she looked scared and tried her best to stay hidden in Jasper's arms.

She was adorable looking, even scared and hiding, she eyed Oliver for a bit but shied away when he catches her gaze.

I looked over my brother to see he's sharing the same thoughts as me. Julia and Ricky wanted their mate attention but couldn't do anything without scaring the little girl.

I went over and offered her a hand, she was really shy, trying to stay hidden with Jasper.

"Hey pretty girl" I said offering her a smile.

She peeked at me then hide her face again blushing. I stayed put, still trying to get her attention, my brother joined our little circle.

She saw the similarity between us and let a little giggle out. It was the cutest sound we've ever heard.

We might be young, we might be reckless but we're still alphas. A puppy will always feel safe with a more dominant wolf.

She finally let go of Jasper and came to us willingly. I lifted her and she weight like a feather, at close inspection I saw the dark circles under her eyes signaling that she doesn't sleep.

She didn't mind being held, even rested her head over my shoulder several times letting out a sleepy yawn.

We carried her to the breakfast table where Oliver finally gave in and let Noah carry him while Jacob gave him extra love and kisses.

Jasper had both his mates in his lap, Ricky was telling him about Julia's mommy skills. She even blushed few times, who would've known that bitch had feelings.

We sat with the little girl between us, she's a bit shorter then Olli, we didn't know her name yet but were already attached.

"What's your name sugar?" Logan finally ask her.

"L...li...Lila" she whisper with a slight stutter.

"I'm mason and he's Logan, we're Jasper cousins and alphas to the neighboring Pack" I introduce us.

At the word alphas she paled a little and started to wiggle uncomfortably in her seat.

We tried our best to ignore the fear we saw in her eyes, we didn't want to scream and ask her what's wrong.

We got her breakfast, a plate full of pancakes, syrup, strawberries and some bacon.

She ate the strawberries first then moved to the rest of the plate making a big mess with her food.

"Please Lila don't cry just tell us what's wrong" Logan try with her.

She kept crying and we kept trying, until she gave up or maybe was out of tears.

"You're....going to h...hu...hurt me" she said in an accusing voice.

"Hurt you! Never baby who said so!!" Mason scream.

I nudge him with my elbow telling him to zip it.

"We'll never hurt a pretty girl like you, now why don't you tell us why you thought we would" I say in a calm voice.

"The...the other puppy" she replies tears still streaming down her face.

"You mean Olli?" I say confused.

"Honey he only screamed because he's not used to changing back and forth" my brother explain understating the reason of her fear.

"He not hurt?" she asked in a voice smaller than the one we've been hearing.

"No baby I promise you he's not hurt and you'll never be hurt either" we both promise her.

She get out of her hiding spot and let us carry her home. I and my brother had a silent agreement, we might be alphas but this puppy is going to be ours.
