Love That Wasn't Meant to Last novel Chapter 67

I watched Selena for a moment. After hesitating for a while, I found an excuse to catch up with Andy before she left.

"Ms. Andy, what did you mean earlier when you talked to Selena about those things?" I couldn't help but express my puzzlement.

Andy gave me a suspicious look and said, "You're not with our company, so why do you care?"

She shrugged and left right away. I ran toward her and blocked her path again.

"It's true, I'm not part of your company. But on paper, I'm still Selena's husband. Am I not allowed to care about things for my wife?"

Though I wanted to get a divorce and was fed up with her relentless clinging, our relationship was still real. I didn't want to see her or her company dragged down.

Andy looked annoyed, rolling her eyes and covering her ears, as if protesting my retort.

"Fine, fine. I get it. You are a devoted husband. You really don't have to emphasize how much you love Selena in front of me. I might actually get mad."

I didn't fully understand her reaction, but I pressed on. "So what's really going on?"

I didn't want any lingering ties with Selena, but I also didn't want to be in the dark about what was happening in her world.

After all, I had played a significant role in her past.
