Lock You In My Heart novel Chapter 633

Silence prevailed as Gabrielle and Westley stood there, watching everything covered in the bleak winter's weather. The scenery wasn't captivating anyway.

"What did Grandma say? You can share it with me if you are upset with it, Gabrielle," Westley asked, his eyes occasionally meeting Gabrielle's lost gaze.

Getting out of her thoughts, Gabrielle was surprised. She smiled at Westley's question and the way he cared for her. "No, it's not that. Grandma didn't say anything upsetting. She was just worried about us. She asked about Star's family, whether they were looking for him or not."

"I asked for a careful investigation earlier, Gabrielle, and none of his family seemed interested in finding him. It feels like he has been abandoned on purpose." The results of the search were shocking, even for Westley.

Star was a healthy, normal, and intelligent child, and it made no sense when no one came for him.

Star's identity was erased from even the databases, pointing toward the cue that his existence and his past were deliberately hidden. It seemed like someone used the attack as an excuse to ensure that people would reasonably believe that Star was dead, just like his mother disappeared from the surface of the earth.

A perfect plan, put in motion, to hide Star's life and his identity.

The magnificently unbelievable coincidence was that out of the almost 8 billion population of the earth, Star was found by Westley and Gabrielle, and he lost his past with his memory.

So much of God's plan to make Star start a new life with an erased and clean mind for himself! If too many coincidences happened at once, they surely seemed to be part of an intentional plan.

"I don't know, Westley. But I can feel Grandma's worry too. If no one needs him, Star will be our son. But..." A sad frown covered Gabrielle's pretty features. "If his identity is revealed in the world outside by someone else, it'll be hard for us to adopt him."

And that was an undeniable truth.

"Hey... Don't worry." Westley put a hand on Gabrielle's shoulder. "Who cares about his past or his identity getting exposed? Star is our son, and he will always be ours, no matter who tries to separate him from us. Okay?" Westley said, gently putting strands of stray hair off Gabrielle's face.

"Yeah, you're right, but I just can't put away this foreboding feeling," Gabrielle said uneasily.

"Okay, but for now, let's stop thinking about it, please. It's festival, Gabrielle. Try to be happy. And let's transfer optimistic vibes, okay?" Westley playfully pinched her nose with his fingers.

A sudden joyous smile covered his lips.

"Okay, I will stop thinking about this stuff. After all, we already have Star. What else do I await?" Gabrielle smiled. "As long as he's with us and we can care for him, it doesn't matter if he goes back to his original family in the future." Gabrielle's smile widened, showing the relief she felt deep in her heart.

"See? That's like an optimistic thought! Don't you feel better now?" Westley's smile naturally widened, watching Gabrielle smile.

"Yes, I do. Let's go inside. It's getting colder out here. Also, you should call your brother and inform him that Tammy will stay here for the night." Gabrielle suddenly turned to face Westley. "Why don't you invite them for dinner tomorrow? It'll be delightful to have them here."

"Hmm... That's suitable. I'll ask them to come. It'll be good to have them here at the festival." Holding Gabrielle close to his warm chest, Westley entered the house with her.

They both spent the whole evening calling people they thought they should invite to the upcoming celebratory feast. They, especially Gabrielle, were excited for the rising sun of tomorrow.

Early in the morning the next day, Gabrielle went shopping with Sophie to buy food and drinks for the guests who'd join them for dinner. They hired a chef to be in charge of cooking, helping them get free time for other important things.

Star was already downstairs, carried by Westley when Sophie and Gabrielle came back home. In a relaxed state, he listened to the sweet voice of Tammy, who was telling him a story.

Looking at that peaceful scene, Gabrielle was touched with amazement and joy. Tammy

and Star both stayed up late last night, playing like there was no tomorrow.

"Don't worry, everyone! I will introduce Star to them, and we'll play together!" As excited as always, Tammy stood up, taking the initiative to familiarize Star with the guests, whom he'd never seen.

"Surely, Tammy can do that." Gabrielle's smile widened. That was when Gabrielle saw chocolate smeared at the corner of Tammy's lips. "Do you want another piece of cake?" Although Tammy looked beyond adorable, Gabrielle wanted to pull out a tissue to wipe the chocolate around her lips. But just as the thought crossed Gabrielle's mind, Tammy stuck her tongue out and licked the chocolate, smearing it across her mouth even more.

"No, thank you. My mom says that I should only eat one piece of cake at a time. I'll ask for another one after 5 minutes." With her chocolate-smeared mouth, Tammy smiled at Gabrielle, melting her heart even more.

And Gabrielle fell for that adorably sweet smile.

"Okay, then. Kids, I have something to do. You both should play together, and if you need something..." Gabrielle raised an eyebrow, glancing at Westley, who was busy checking emails on his phone. "Well, you are free to disturb uncle Westley for that."

Hearing his name roll off of Gabrielle's tongue, Westley shot his gaze up from his phone.

"Uhh, yes. I'll take care of them. You can go." He smiled dimly, putting aside his phone.

"Thanks, but you can still call me if you need me. Let me hurriedly make juices because the guests could be here at any minute." Nodding towards Westley and the kids, Gabrielle rushed towards the kitchen.

Westley, who was supposed to take care of two children of about four to five years of age, could do his job well. But, if he'd have asked to care for an infant younger than a year, he'd have needed an extra booster of courage and training for that.

"Uncle Westley!" With her mouth covered in dark brown spots of chocolate, Tammy ran toward Westley. "Is Star my biological brother?"

"No, he's not your biological brother, Tammy. But he's a brother who'll protect you with his life forever." Answering her question, Westley pulled a tissue from the tissue box and gently wiped the dark brown strokes of smeared chocolate and crumbs of cake from Tammy's adorable face.
