Leaving You Bereft (Willow and Julian) novel Chapter 144

In the CEO's office of Nebula Group, Julian sat at his desk, reviewing the documents. He was dressed in a light gray shirt and black trousers, bathing in the sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows—highlighting his noble and handsome features.

It was then that Esther suddenly knocked on the door and said, "Mr. Braxton's son has arrived, Mr. Ziegler."

Julian, without raising his gaze, instructed, "Please let him in."

It wasn't long before the sound of footsteps echoed through the office, followed by a nonchalant voice asking, "You're Julian Ziegler, huh? My father told me to come find you."

Julian raised his gaze and was immediately stunned. He noticed that the man before him, towering at six feet and three inches, possessed striking features. He was wearing a black shirt and a pair of dark blue ripped jeans, his physique resembling that of a model.

Julian furrowed his brow as he wondered if the man before him was truly Braxton's son, Caleb, never expecting him to turn out this good-looking.

Though he was undeniably good-looking, Caleb was uncouth. He directly sat on the desk and said, "I heard my father saying that you wanted me to keep an eye on your wife. You rich folks are all a bunch of phonies. You have affairs behind your wives' backs, yet you're worried your wives can't meet your sexual needs."

Julian, unaccustomed to dealing with such insolence, said coldly, "I'll just inform Mr. Braxton if you're not interested in this position. You may leave now, Mr. Caleb."

"Hold on, Mr. Ziegler! I'll accept the job!" Caleb interjected, revealing a dazzling smile. He then grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and continued, "Please give me your wife's address and phone number, Mr. Ziegler. I'll go attend to her right away."

Julian regarded him for a moment before writing down the information on the paper.

Caleb, chewing his gum, glanced at the name, flicked the paper, and said, "I'll head over to report for duty now, Mr. Ziegler."

Caleb's hasty departure infuriated Julian. He pointed toward the door and asked Esther, "Is that actually Mr. Braxton's son?"

Esther replied cautiously, "It's definitely him. I verified his ID, and it unequivocally stated 'Caleb Young.'"

Julian reclined on his seat, suppressing his annoyance. He then took out his phone and sent Willow a WhatsApp message, stating, "I've arranged a bodyguard for you. He's quite competent. You can use him as both a bodyguard and a chauffeur. I'll take care of his salary. He's on his way to you now. His name is Caleb Young. He's the son of Mr. Braxton of Aegis Group."

Thankfully, Annie brought in the coffee at this moment, providing a temporary respite from his discomfort.

Charlie took a sip of his coffee and continued, "You're probably aware that aside from Catherine, you actually have another younger sister, Alicia, who's currently undergoing treatment in Grandsburg. She wishes to return home now that Catherine is no longer with us. Julian is against it, though. That's the reason why I came here to discuss this matter with you."

Willow smiled faintly and asked, "How are your family's affairs any of my concern?"

Charlie, his voice breaking, exclaimed, "You're Alicia's sister, Willow! She has never done anything to harm you! In addition, she's a wonderful person. You may have resented Catherine, but Alicia is different—you'll definitely like her!"

Willow held her forehead and said with a sneer, "I'm sorry, Mr. Burke, but let's be clear here—Timothy and Heather's children are my only siblings. Your daughter is yours to deal with, so you'd better not push your responsibilities to me!"

Charlie's face shifted from ashen to livid, his fury barely contained.
