Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 94

The Ritz Paris.

Sylvia was engrossed in preparations in the conference room.

The tea party was set to commence in an hour.

Suddenly, through the front door, a poised and refined man strolled in.

Secretary Bridgewater, stationed nearby, widened her eyes.

Charles!

He had actually arrived!

"Sylvia." He approached briskly, standing beside her with a smile.

"Mr. Jacobs, why are you here?" She looked up in surprise at his unexpected presence.

After all, only women from various social circles in Paris were invited to the tea party today, and men were not included.

He merely smiled faintly, sidestepping her question. Instead, he assessed her appearance, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"Sylvia, is this what you're wearing tonight?"

"Yes, what's wrong with my outfit?" Sylvia glanced down at her clothes. While they might not be extravagant, they were still tidy.

He shook his head, "Sylvia, everyone attending tonight is from the upper echelons of society. They usually pay great attention to their appearance. At the very least, you should have applied some makeup and worn something more elegant. It's a sign of respect to them, and it would make it easier for them to accept your products."

Sylvia, upon hearing this, realized he had a valid point.

However, with the tea party about to start, where could she find the time to put on makeup? Moreover, financial constraints didn't allow for such luxuries.

In her moment of distress, he gestured outside.

In a flash, three to five men and women, each carrying large and small bags, approached.

Dressed uniformly and exuding a professional air with light makeup, they were evidently makeup artists from a certain studio.

"Take Ms. Lancelot to the dressing room, change her outfit, and do her makeup. Move quickly," Charles ordered.

Nevertheless, the Shaw family had once been prominent in high society. When Mary Jane Shaw was alive, she elevated Gucci company's standing in elite social circles.

Therefore, Sylvia often attended various grand events with her mother when she was a child. She had seen a lot and gained experience.

At that moment, she turned gracefully and walked towards the door.

As soon as she reached the side door of the conference hall, she saw Charles standing there waiting for her.

As soon as she came out, his eyes fell on her. Immediately, the man's eyes were filled with admiration!

Sylvia possessed a genuine beauty—pure, refreshing, and noble, untarnished by any imperfections. It was a beauty beyond comparison for an ordinary woman.

Many years ago, she had become a fixture in his dreams, representing his most cherished aspiration, yet remaining unattainable.

He had relentlessly pursued her, striving to keep pace with her every move, but for some inexplicable reason, he found himself drifting further and further away from her.

In this moment, she stood before him with grace and tranquility, a tangible reality.

He felt an indescribable excitement. It dawned on him that, from this point forward, he must earnestly pursue what he desired and never let it slip away again.
