Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 92

"Grandma said that when you return, you must drink water and have some small desserts, or else you won't be allowed back to your room." Sheryl firmly grasped his arm, guiding him to sit at the dining table.

Christopher immediately felt a twinge in his shoulder!

At that moment, Butler Lang arrived with desserts and delicacies.

In the past, Christopher would have joyfully indulged in these treats, but today, he had no appetite for them at all.

"Butler Lang, I'll handle things here. You can go and inspect the flower beds in the backyard, tidy them up a bit. Young Master Arthur mentioned it yesterday, saying there will be a party at home soon." She directed Butler Lang.

The butler agreed and left.

"Hendrick, let me ask you, have you met any other women during this time? For example, anyone who is about the same age as Mommy." Sheryl asked tentatively from the side.

Christopher looked up at her with a big red mouth and shook his head.

"I heard that you don't like Daddy marrying Mommy. What's the reason?" She continued to ask, "Mommy raised you, but you don't want Daddy and Mommy to be together. Do you not want to have a family anymore?"

He heard this and understood now.

It turned out that the ugly witch was suspicious of him for this reason and had become wary of him.

He scooped up a spoonful of cake, put it in his mouth, smashed it, and suddenly stood up, "Thirsty, I want to drink water."

The food at the kindergarten at noon today was a bit salty, and the cake tasted even more greasy. He was indeed really thirsty and wanted to take the opportunity to slip away. Otherwise, he didn't know what this ugly witch might do to him!

"Sit down, I'll pour it for you." Little did he know that she had no intention of letting him go. She pressed him back into the chair and turned to pour a cup of boiling water from the water dispenser.

"Here." She placed the glass of water in front of Christopher.

Christopher didn't know it was boiling water, so he took it and drank it.

"What's going on?" Arthur's face changed color, and he hurriedly came up to ask.

"Arthur, I took care of Hendrick for afternoon tea, and he wanted to drink water. I poured him a glass, but unexpectedly, he splashed boiling water on my feet." Sheryl's eyes were filled with tears, she replied in a low voice, feeling wronged.

Arthur frowned, his face darkened, looking at Christopher, "Hendrick, why are you acting like this?"

During this period, Hendrick's hostility towards Sheryl had become more and more obvious during this period, which gave him a headache, and the nature of this matter was quite serious.

Christopher saw that Arthur Bridgewater believed her words unconditionally and was infuriated. His tongue was full of pain and went numb, and he pursed his lips and shed tears of sadness down his cheeks.

"Forget it, the child is still young, it must have been accidentally splashed. It is my fault for not taking care of him." Sheryl spoke hypocritically.

Christopher became even more angrier. The way she said it completely shifted the blame onto him.

An adult actually schemed against a child like this; it was truly shameless!
