"Miss, miss." The nurse noticed something was wrong with her and shouted anxiously from the side.
Sylvia groaned, looked up at her, didn't answer, and lay down again.
The nurse took the phone from her hand and dialed a number.
…
Less than a quarter of an hour.
"Sylvia, what's wrong with you?" Charles appeared in front of her.
After the liquid was infused, Sylvia is feeling much better and her mind is gradually clearing up. Looking at Charles with a worried face, she asked in confusion, "Mr. Jacobs, why are you here?"
Charles held her hand, it is cold!
He immediately took off his suit and put it on her shoulders, saying angrily, "If you don't feel well, come to the hospital and tell me in advance. I'll ask the hospital head for a bed. What a silly girl. You’re a mother of two children. You still don’t know how to care and love yourself.”
Sylvia remembered. The nurse had just taken away her mobile phone from her hand. She must have seen a number she had contacted more recently and dialed it... She didn't have many friends, so Charles naturally became the number one candidate.
"Mr. Jacobs, I'm sorry to bother you." Sylvia thanked him in a low voice, "I'm fine. They’ll just prescribe some medicine after the injection and I'll be fine. The doctor said it's uterine cold."
"It hurts like this, but you say you’re fine? You’re not okay! No, you’re going to go through the hospitalization procedures. You can stay in the hospital for a few days first." After Charles said that, he was about to go to the doctor to go through the procedures.
"No." Sylvia became anxious, grabbed his hand, and begged, "Mr. Jacobs, I'm really fine. I have to go back to work. Please leave me alone."
Her bright eyes were full of anxiety and worry. If she didn't go back to work, the devil Arthur would eat her. Moreover, the tea party on Friday is about to begin, so she couldn't fall down.
Charles couldn't bear to brush her off, so he had no choice but to agree.
"Mr. Bridgewater." Charles didn't even look at Sheryl. He just looked at Arthur and said hello politely.
Arthur pursed his lips and said coldly, "Mr. Jacobs, it seems that your company's business is good since you’re having a good time here.”
Charles frowned, pursed his lips, and did not say anything excessive in reply.
"Mr. Bridgewater, I have sent you a leave request." Sylvia never dreamed that she would meet Arthur here. Seeing his face as dark as dog shit, Sylvia immediately reminded him preemptively.
When people are unlucky, their teeth will get stuck even when they drink water. This has been the case for her recently. She has had bad luck one after another. It seems she has to find time to go to the temple to worship!
Arthur sneered disdainfully and said coldly, "What leave request? I didn't receive it."
Sylvia's heart skipped a beat. This man's tone is very unkind. He seemed to be trying to embarrass her again!
