"No, when you're unwell, going to the hospital is a must," Arthur Bridgewater stated firmly. He longed for his son to return to the lively and cheerful state he exhibited just a few days ago — intelligent and adorable.
Hendrick impatiently rose from his seat, "No, I won't go, I refuse. Are you deliberately annoying me? Just leave me alone."
Brushing off Arthur's hand, he dashed outside, his expression dark and obstinate, mirroring Arthur's own angry demeanour.
Frustrated, Arthur chased after him.
In the front yard, just as he caught up with Hendrick, Wendy Bridgewater entered, carrying bags.
"Oh, my dear grandson." Her eyes lit up at the sight of Hendrick's adorable face. She smiled warmly, opening her arms. "Come here, let Grandma check if you've gained any weight."
"Grandma." Hendrick threw himself into her arms, his voice taking on a childlike tone.
"Ah." Her heart melted. Holding her grandson, she gazed at him lovingly, finally planting a kiss on his rosy little face. "My grandson, Grandma missed you so much."
"Grandma, I don't want to go to the hospital," he immediately complained to his grandmother.
"Why go to the hospital?" The smile vanished from Wendy's face instantly as she looked at Arthur. "The child is fine. Why take him to the hospital?"
"Mom." Arthur felt helpless. "Hendrick's headaches have returned. Ignoring it could worsen the condition..."
"Nonsense. Hendrick just doesn't want to go to kindergarten. What child gets headaches and brain diseases? I can see he's perfectly fine. No need for the hospital. I'm back temporarily, and I'll personally take care of him from now on." She interrupted him, leading Hendrick towards the house.
Arthur shrugged helplessly and had to give up.

In front of an antique-style villa with a glazed roof,
"Secretary Bridgewater, is this the right place?" Sylvia inquired, gazing at the villa.
"Yes, not only is it the correct location, but it's also the most authentic," Secretary Bridgewater affirmed with a nod.
Sylvia's eyes sparkled.
In the past few days, she had been tirelessly searching for Peruvian balsam. Despite the slim hope, she was determined to give it a try.
Ever since the incident where she provided Sheryl with a false testimony, almost leading to her dismissal, Secretary Bridgewater's loyalty had completely shifted towards Sylvia.
Contrasting Sheryl's pretence and selfishness, Sylvia's generosity, kindness, and profound expertise in perfumes had won her over.
"Sylvia, please take a seat." He looked up, saw her, immediately stood up, warmly invited her to sit on the sofa, and personally prepared tea for her.
"Mr. Jacobs, I apologize. I didn't expect to find you here." If she could help it, she didn't want to approach him too closely or have too much interaction!
Secretary Bridgewater gazed at Charles in surprise, then at her.
This way, Charles was acquainted with Sylvia.
She felt a surge of excitement.
If that were the case, was there any need to fret over Peruvian balsam!
She gracefully retreated.
"Sylvia, I'm truly pleased that you visited after our encounter at the spice market. I assumed you had already secured the Peruvian balsam, but it seems I underestimated the challenge you faced." He placed a cup of Earl Grey in front of her, his expression carrying an apology.
Even though Peruvian balsam was a precious commodity, it was still available on the market. He hadn't anticipated the extent of her struggle in searching for it.
"I didn't anticipate it either. In city of Paris, I couldn't locate Peruvian balsam," she sighed with a bitter smile.
