Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 617

Arthur waited for a while but didn't see Sylvia coming. He turned around and couldn't help but laugh.

This woman was standing there hesitantly, she wanted to come but didn't dare to come, so she still waited for him to invite her.

Wendy happened to be receiving a rich lady and was talking politely to her. There were no other guests coming, so Arthur walked towards Sylvia.

"Sylvia, what are you doing standing here?"

"Oh, Mr. Bridgewater, there are some flower baskets that haven't been put up over there. Let me go take a look." Sylvia said immediately, then turned around to run away.

"Stop." Arthur grabbed her and said, "Butler Lang said all the flower baskets had been placed in their assigned positions. It's none of your business. Follow me to the gate to welcome the guests."

"That is not good." Sylvia forced a smile, "I think Sheryl is more suitable than me. She is just sitting in the living room with nothing to do. Go and call her."

"No, it has to be you." Arthur firmly countered her suggestion with a straight face.

"But I..." Sylvia was in a dilemma. She didn't want to stand there with him to welcome guests. It was too eye-catching.

"But what? I told you a long time ago. Come on, the guests are coming. Don't lose etiquette." Arthur took her arm and dragged her towards the gate.

Sylvia had no choice but to passively follow him.

"I'm telling you, just welcome the guests well and behave well, otherwise I won't let you off tonight." Sylvia was just pulled by Arthur to stand at the gate. When she was still uneasy, one of Arthur's hands fell on her. He rubbed her waist and threatened her fiercely, lowering close to her ear.

Sylvia's face turned red to the back of her ears.

She glared at him.

The corners of Arthur's lips curled up.

At that moment, a Bentley car drove over, and security guards immediately stepped forward to guide it to park.

The smile on Arthur's lips disappeared, his face was covered with a layer of frost, and his expression was frighteningly cold.

Sylvia's heart also jumped.

"Mr. Jacobs, welcome."

Charles smiled and looked at Sylvia.

" Sylvia, thank you for taking me home last night."

Sylvia looked at him.

He had obviously lost weight. Although he was as gentle and elegant as usual, his face was much thinner, his chin was pointed, and he looked a little haggard.

"It's okay, that is how it should be." Sylvia wanted to shake off Arthur's hand, but as she tried he held her tightly and she couldn't move at all. She could only smile at Charles and said with concern, "Drinking like that is very dangerous, so don’t drink like that again.”

"Okay, I will definitely listen to you." Charles smiled slightly, answered her vaguely, turned around, and walked inside.

Arthur's eyes shrank, and the hand that was on Sylvia's waist unconsciously exerted a little force.

Sylvia felt a pain in her waist. At that time, a guest came, and she took the opportunity to shake away his hand.
