Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 59

"Daddy, I've missed you so much." Christopher, realizing there was no escape, rolled his eyes and promptly opened his arms, soaring toward Arthur. Mid-flight, he affectionately shouted, trying to charm his way out.

Arthur, torn between laughter and exasperation, watched the little guy's cute and determined expression. Unable to resist, he raised the corners of his mouth and embraced Christopher as he landed.

"You little rascal, who told you to come here?" he asked with a stern face.

"Daddy, Mommy hit me. She doesn't love me at all. It hurts so much." Christopher pouted, managing to squeeze out two tears. He complained tearfully, painting a picture of misery.

Arthur's heart unexpectedly softened. Lifting Christopher, he headed towards the Lincoln. As they walked, he commanded, "Boy, you're a young man, stop your wailing and head home."

"But Daddy, I'm not a man. I'm just a baby boy." Christopher pouted, refusing to concede.

He smiled gently, ruffling Christopher's little head.

Christopher rested his small round face on his father's shoulder, leaving traces of tears and snot on his shoulder. However, his eyes remained fixed on the Internet café.

Mommy, I didn't mean it. Please go back quickly. I'll pick you up from work later!

Inside the Lincoln car.

As soon as Arthur ignited the engine, Christopher hopped onto the soft sofa in the back.

"Hendrick, where are you?" He stretched out at the sofa's end, reaching out to contact Hendrick.

What should he do?

Captured by Arthur and taken back to the Bridgewater mansion, he'd be a captive son.

He had no desire to return to that old mansion at all!

"At the Internet café," Hendrick replied, focused on the game console without looking away.

Upon hearing this, Christopher facepalmed. No wonder Hendrick hadn't returned home yet. Daddy must have thought he ran away again and came here to find him.

Christopher disconnected the call and reclined on the RV sofa, cradling the back of his head in his small hands, a cloud of worries enveloping him.

What should he do? How would he handle encountering the wicked witch again later?

Fortunately, over the past few days, after spending time together, he had confirmed that Arthur was indeed his biological dad and that he wasn't bad to him.

After a while, the Lincoln RV pulled up in front of the villa.

"Hendrick, where were you? Mommy was so worried about you." In Bridgewater Mansion, the moment Arthur's car stopped, Sheryl hurriedly approached, opened the car door, and knelt to the ground, tears streaming down her face. She embraced Christopher, showering him with tears and mucus, expressing maternal concern.

Christopher was bewildered. What was happening here?

How could the wicked witch suddenly become so caring towards him? Her expression was just like that of a mother concerned for her son.

"Hendrick, tell Mommy, did someone bully you? Mommy has been so anxious for you, she couldn't even eat," she said with genuine concern, cradling Christopher in her arms and wiping his tears away as if afraid that someone had mistreated her own son.
