Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 37

Sylvia straightened up, her teeth grinding together.

‘Stay calm, stay collected!’

This shameless couple was once again flaunting their affection before her!

The ruthlessness and cruelty Arthur had inflicted upon her six years ago were becoming more evident with each passing moment. The image of this malicious woman, Sheryl, pushing her into the sea echoed in her mind like a thunderous explosion.

She clenched her fists tightly, the veins on the back of her hands standing out.

Suddenly, a phone rang in the room.

Arthur, with a gloomy expression, checked his phone and quickly left the room.

"Sylvia, you wretch, what are you up to?" The moment he left, Sheryl's countenance darkened, and she shot up with a fierce glare in her eyes. "I warn you, don't even think about any malicious schemes. I won't part with a single share of éclat Parfums."

She raised her hand and slapped Sylvia across the face.

Sylvia felt her world teeter on the brink of chaos. Caught off guard, she was struck hard by Sheryl, sending a searing pain through her cheek.

A fiery determination welled up within Sylvia as she rose to her feet, abruptly grasping Sheryl's hair and delivering a stinging backhand slap.

"Ah!" Sheryl cried out as the impact sent her reeling. She couldn't maintain her balance and dropped to her knees, five distinct finger marks imprinted on her face.

-- --

In the hallway.

"What did you say, Elaine and Hendrick got into another fight?" Arthur Bridgewater's expression darkened.

Last night, when he entered the study, Elaine was already asleep on the sofa, so he didn't reprimand her further.

However, it seemed that the conflict escalated, and Elaine was bullying Hendrick at home again today.

"Break them up first. Sheryl and I will be there shortly." Arthur gave the order and hung up. Just as he placed the phone down, he heard screams echoing from the CEO's office, the president's office.

In the president's office.

Yet she had no desire to explain herself. Six years ago, he wouldn't have believed her, and that was even less likely now.

"Mr. Bridgewater, kindly release my arm and attend to your lady. If she ever attempts to harm me again, I will defend myself." she stated coldly.

His face was pallid, but at this moment, his worry was mainly for Elaine and Hendrick. He was not inclined to engage in a dispute with her. He released her arm and commanded,

"Sylvia, take heed, and cease your machinations. Otherwise, I'll ensure you have no place in Paris."

Having delivered his warning, he gently took Sheryl's hand and departed.

Sheryl felt a swell of triumph and glared at Sylvia with intensity. She clung to Arthur, the two of them exiting in a harmonious and inseparable fashion.

Sylvia observed their affectionate departure, her entire being quivering.

‘Disgusting, wretched individuals!

Just you wait, this is merely the beginning! I shall repay twofold for all the injustices my mother and I have suffered.’
