Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 25

Even today's two doctors had been bought by Bella.

The transactions were carefully concealed, and if not for the frequent movements in her bank account, they wouldn't have been discovered so easily.

Just then, Arthur sent a recording with a simple message: "Deal with Bella."

Maxwell played it and heard the complete record of Bella instructing servants to bribe doctors.

His expression darkened considerably. "What, don't you trust my abilities?"

After sending this message, he quickly received a reply.

"No, I just don't want Bella to do anything that might hurt Alison again."

"I never imagined that with Alison by your side, you still couldn't protect her properly. That day she fell into the water, my people saved her. If it weren't for you, she would never have been in danger."

Reading Arthur's words, Maxwell's heart skipped a beat.

What followed was endless regret.

Arthur wasn't one to take credit falsely—he was telling the truth.

Maxwell closed his eyes in pain, filled with self-reproach. All of Alison's suffering had been caused by him.

Without him, Alison might have been happy from the very beginning.

He silently grieved before finally opening his eyes.

But now they contained only emptiness.

The next morning, Maxwell made simple preparations and left.

Outside the marriage registry office, Bella wore a white dress with a veil, full of expectation.

"Maxwell, you finally came!"

Maxwell stared at her, his lips twisting into a smile, though his voice carried an almost imperceptible danger.

"Yes, I'm here."

"Then let's go in and get married?"

Bella smiled, tugging at his sleeve. However, her smile froze when she saw the police officers behind him.

"No, I won't be marrying you. You'd better focus on how to avoid criminal charges."

Maxwell pushed her hand away with disgust, shoving her toward the police.

Just when everyone thought the matter was settled, Bella's eyes turned bloodshot. Suddenly, as if possessed, she unleashed tremendous strength and dragged Maxwell toward the speeding traffic.

With a sickening thud, two bodies were struck and sent flying, covered in blood, landing heavily on the ground.

Blood nearly stained the entire pavement. People screamed in shock as police quickly called for ambulances.

Bella clung tightly to Maxwell, blood spilling from her mouth as she persisted:

"Maxwell, we can finally be together forever. You're mine, only mine. I always knew I'd marry you."

"You're insane!"

The force of Bella’s attack was too strong, and the three of them tumbled down the stairs together.

Arthur was stabbed by the knife, his head slammed against the edge of the stairs, and he continued to shield Alison with his chest.

By the time the police arrived, Bella was foaming at the mouth—she was dead.

The coroner found that she had ingested a large amount of diazepam.

Since the incident, Arthur had remained in a coma, and Alison stayed by his side every day.

However, Arthur' mother opposed their relationship, blaming Alison for what had happened to her son.

She believed it was Alison who had caused him to end up this way.

A month later, Arthur finally woke up, but to Alison’s sorrow, he had lost his memory!

Seizing the opportunity, Arthur' mother sent Alison abroad.

Facing the amnesiac Arthur, Alison was overwhelmed with sadness and guilt.

Perhaps leaving him was the best choice—to give him a chance to start anew.

She could raise their child on her own.

Alison thought she would never see him again.

But one day, to her surprise, Arthur learned about the existence of their child...
