Vivica whipped around to face her. “Honora, you were supposed to be meeting an important client for Starlight Media. What happened? Tell me everything. Don’t leave out a single detail!”
Through her sobs, Honora recounted the story of the disastrous meeting with “Field of Lari,” telling Vivica and Paxton everything.
“We had no idea it would be Larissa… Leopold thought the whole meeting was a trap she set up to mock us.” She sniffled. “He said some harsh things to her… and later, he told us he had something to do and sent Finley and me home first. The next thing we knew, this happened…”
As Honora finished, Vivica’s eyes filled with pure hatred.
“Larissa! It’s always Larissa! It has to be her. She did this on purpose! She wants to kill Leopold, to destroy our entire family!” she shrieked. “If Leopold doesn’t wake up, I swear I’ll make her pay with her own blood!”
A triumphant smile flickered in Honora’s eyes, hidden behind her hands. This time, there was no way Larissa could escape unscathed.
Just then, her phone rang. She lowered her hands, and seeing the caller ID, her expression changed.
She quickly silenced the call. Fortunately, everyone’s attention was on Leopold, and no one noticed her strange behavior. She let out a silent sigh of relief.
What Honora didn’t see was Finley, standing quietly in the corner, glancing her way with an unreadable, deep expression in his eyes.
