Immortal's Love Story novel Chapter 5

Lily looked arrogant.

"You foolish woman, you still don't know, do you? I've been with Stephen for a long time. Every night, he sneaks out to see me."

"He's been tired of you for a long time. He's only being nice to you now because of the baby in your belly. If it weren't for the baby, he would have divorced you immediately."

However, my face showed none of the sadness, collapse, or sorrow she expected. I simply looked at her calmly, "Are you done? If you are, please leave. I don't believe a word you say."

Lily, probably stunned by what she perceived as my stupidity, took out her phone and sent me pictures of them in bed together.

"The evidence is on your phone. You can see for yourself."

I didn't look and firmly told her with a smile, "I trust my husband."

Lily was utterly shocked, as if her punch, thrown with all her might, had landed on soft cotton.

This was exactly the effect I wanted!

Why should I let her gloat?

Lily, driven mad with rage, lunged at me and fiercely grabbed my throat.

In the ensuing struggle, Lily viciously kicked me in the stomach. The intense pain shot through me.

At that moment, Stephen burst through the door and violently shoved Lily to the ground.

Stephen anxiously checked on me, and despite the pain subsiding, I clutched my stomach and told him, "Honey, she kicked my stomach. She wants to kill our baby."

Lily was completely stunned. The next second, she clung to Stephen's leg. "Stephen, she insulted me first. I just lost control of my emotions."

Stephen kicked her away fiercely, "You crazy woman!"

Lily cried hysterically.

The boy I loved for ten years turned out to be this kind of person.

"Stephen, haven't I treated you well?"

"Honey, I'm really sorry. I know I was wrong. I'll make it up to you in the future. Can you forgive me?"

In my original plan, I was supposed to continue pretending to forgive him generously, but I just couldn't do it anymore.

Looking at this man, the memories of the past stabbed my heart like a knife.

It was so painful, so unbearable.

"Stephen, can you leave? I don't want to see you right now."

"Honey, don't be like this!" Stephen knelt on the ground, holding my hand and crying.
