Phoebe had been pondering before, thinking that if Ivan could give her a chance, she wouldn't mind having someone else in her heart. She could gradually replace that person's position in Ivan's heart. But now that she knew it was her own sister who held that place in his heart, the situation was naturally different.
Some people, due to the passage of time, gradually push the unrequited love out of their hearts. But some people, due to the passage of time, keep that unrequited love in their hearts for a lifetime, feeling attached and lonely until the end.
If that person were someone else, it would be fine. But unfortunately, that person was Yanis. So Phoebe wanted him to completely let go.
"Do you really like him that much?" Zane asked Phoebe after listening to her words.
Phoebe nodded. "Yes, I do. Brother, haven't you been meticulously planning and strategizing for so many years?"
Zane didn't respond to Phoebe's words; his phone vibrated.
He received a message from Albi, saying that he was outside.
Zane put away his phone, reached out and pulled Phoebe up from the sofa. "I'll take you home first."
Phoebe stood up with Zane. "Brother, did you agree or not?"
"Go home first."
"Brother..."
"I'll call him later or ask him to come back."
Upon hearing Zane's words, Phoebe obediently followed him out of the bar.
Zane handed Phoebe directly to Albi. "You take her home first."
Albi supported Phoebe and turned to look at Zane. "What about you?"
"I'll go back by myself later," Zane replied.
Albi nodded. "Alright, then I'll take Miss Lawrence home first."
Zane responded, "Drive slowly."
Zane stood in place, watching Albi drive away with Phoebe, before finally walking in the other direction.
Phoebe's words from last night replayed in Zane's mind once again.
After some thought, he decided to call Ivan.
The phone rang several times before Ivan answered, sounding out of breath as if he was exercising.
"Don't you sleep at this late hour?" Ivan asked. His breath was a bit erratic while speaking.
"Will you have time to come back soon?" Zane got straight to the point.
Ivan was taken aback by Zane's question, then paused his actions and asked, "Why? Are you and Yanis planning a wedding or is there some other good news?"
"It's related to Yanis, but it's about you," Zane replied.
Ivan fell silent for a moment before finding his voice, "No, what do you mean?"
Ivan's voice on the other end of the line became noticeably louder.
Zane spoke calmly, "If you want to know, find a time to come back."
"You can't say it over the phone?" Ivan asked.
"A few words over the phone won't make it clear. Contact me when you come back," Zane replied.
There was a brief pause from Ivan, then he whispered, "Alright, if I come back, I'll call you."
Zane made a sound of agreement and hung up the phone without saying anything else.
Meanwhile, in M Country.
Inside a bachelor apartment building.
After finishing the call with Zane, Ivan walked out of the gym.
He poured a glass of water, drank it all, and carefully read through the news from the country. Not finding any significant news, Ivan sighed with slight relief. However, thinking about Zane's serious tone, Ivan became a bit worried.
What could it be about him and Yanis?
After pondering for a long time, Ivan couldn't figure out what could be going on between him and Yanis.
The housekeeper nodded, "Alright."
After changing her shoes at the entrance, Yanis went upstairs.
She took a shower, changed her clothes, did a quick tidy up, and then drove out.
The client's given address was a bit far, about a half-hour drive.
In the western part of Manches City.
The neighborhood was quite large, and Yanis circled around inside before finding the specific building.
It was a high-rise residential complex.
Yanis parked the car after driving around, confirming the address once again on the phone.
After getting out of the car and waiting for the elevator, Yanis checked the items she brought.
Once inside the elevator, Yanis confirmed the floor, and when the elevator reached the destination, she stepped out.
This residential complex had two households on each floor.
As soon as she exited the elevator, Yanis saw the apartment number and pressed the doorbell.
It took a while before someone answered the door from inside.
The woman who opened the door was wearing a hat and a mask, with only her eyes visible. "You're Miss Thompson, right?"
Yanis nodded, "Yes."
"Come in."
The woman stepped aside, allowing Yanis to enter.
Yanis nodded and stepped inside.
For some reason, when Yanis met the woman's eyes just now, she had an indescribable feeling. It seemed like she had seen those eyes somewhere before, but at the moment, she couldn't remember where.
