His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 665

Those whose names weren’t called shot glances filled with envy, jealousy, and resentment—especially towards Niamh. In their eyes, Jameson Quinn might leave an inheritance to anyone, but never to her. Yet, against all odds, her name was on the lawyer’s list.

“Maybe Mr. Quinn just left her a dollar for old time’s sake!”

“You think so?”

“I refuse to believe the old man would give her a real inheritance. Wasn’t she the family’s curse?”

“Mr. Quinn always did listen to what Mr. Harley had to say.”

Their whispers weren’t far from Niamh’s own thoughts. She, too, didn’t believe Jameson would willingly leave her anything of value.

Inside the study, Niamh chose a seat at the very back. The chairs had been arranged in advance. She noted Ramona’s confidence as she sat in the front row, right next to Hayes. Felix and Hank Quinn, Jameson’s older and younger brothers, sat in the second row. One was a politician, the other a businessman—both paths arranged by Jameson.

Wade stood before the desk, holding Jameson’s will in his white-gloved hands. The document was sealed, looking solemn and mysterious.

“Now then, I will proceed to read the last will and testament of Mr. Jameson Quinn…”

As Wade spoke, Felix and Hank both sat up ramrod straight. Niamh noticed Ramona showed no particular reaction; she remained composed and confident. Though her eyes were swollen from crying, her pupils seemed to have been washed brighter by her tears. Niamh thought she could see an ambition that couldn't be hidden in those eyes.

“I, Jameson Quinn, being of sound mind and full legal capacity, hereby declare this to be my final wishes regarding the distribution of my estate. I expect all parties to adhere to and execute these terms…”

“My elder brother, Felix Quinn, and my younger brother, Hank Quinn, will each receive the property titles to the villas on Y Island and L Island, respectively, as well as a trust fund of one billion U.S. dollars… This is on the condition that they immediately resign from their current positions and, in the future, refrain from involving themselves in any management capacity within any of The Quinn Group’s subsidiary industries…”

Upon hearing this, Hayes frowned unconsciously, glancing at Felix and Hank. Their expressions were not what he expected; they seemed to show no dissatisfaction.
