Dominic’s new nickname "Hello, love birds! Missed us?"

Justin‘s loud teasing voice welcomed Dominic as soon as he opened the door.

He looked at his annoying third in command with an annoyed look on his face.

All their friends were there.

Nathan, Suzanne and Patricia along with Ace and they all have big smiles on their faces.

That irritated him so much! Of course not Ace’s smile.

That just made his world as he looked at him adoringly.

But then Nathan snapped his fingers in front of him to catch his attention and he looked at them again with a deep frown.

Snatching his peace, they were smiling! How frustrating is that! "What are you guys doing here?"

He asked in a grumpy tone, making them roll their eyes at him.

But of course Ace kept showing his toothy grin, without caring for anything else in the world.

"You sure did miss us."

Nathan said with a roll of his eyes before getting inside the mansion while pushing him away.

They all got inside uninvited.

"Hey, hey! Where are you going?! What the hell?"

He exclaimed in frustration before following them inside.

"Hmm! Such a good aroma! What did you order for breakfast?" Justin asked while sniffing the air to get some more of the aroma.

Dominic was going to tell him that Athena made breakfast but Suzanne beat him to it.

"Just from the aroma I can say with confidence that Athena made breakfast, right? She made pancakes, right?" Athena asked with excitement.

 "Yes!! Mommy made pancakes! I love pancakes! I‘m hungry!"

Ace exclaimed in happiness while clapping his hand in happiness, making everyone chuckle.

"Whoa, she can cook? I didn‘t know that!" Justin exclaimed in surprise, happy to find that out.

The last day when she baked cookies for everyone, Justin was on duty for the border hence he missed this piece of information.

"Yeah! She can cook the best food ever!"

Patricia exclaimed in excitement, ready to taste her cooked food once again.

"Oh, my! I want to taste it!"

Justin exclaimed in excitement and was going to head to the dining room when Dominic caught him by the collar.

"You ain’t going anywhere! And not having the pancakes made by my MATE only for ME!"

Dominic frowned at him, making Justin frown as well.

"No! Mommy made them for me!"

Ace, who was on Nathan’s shoulders, scowled at him offensively as soon as he heard Dominic and Dominic immediately smiled at him as if he was going to melt any moment now.

"Of course, champ! Mommy made that for you and me and we are not going to share them with anyone, okay?"

Dominic asked with twinkling eyes, making Ace grin at him as well with the same expression.

At that moment their facial similarities were as bright as the daylight and that made everyone admire them.

"Okay! We are not gonna share!"

Ace exclaimed happily as he clapped his hands, thinking of it as some fun game.

"You are so mean! We have come from far to congratulate you and that’s how you treat us?!"

Patricia said in a dramatic way, taking her mate’s side.

"I wouldn’t have any problems if you came here to congratulate me.But you are my Beta and gamma and you guys are my friends, so I very well know why you came.Now get out! Excluding Ace of course."

Dominic scowled at them in irritation before smiling at Ace cheekily once again.

"Dominic! What are you doing?" Athena gasped in shock when she heard her mate throwing their friends out.

She has just come out of the room after showering and covering all the love bites perfectly.She already knew who had come when she heard all the rucks from outside the door.

Only their friends can cause this! 

"See, Athena! He is so rude and heartless.He is kicking us out when we come to congratulate you both like loving and responsible friends we are." Nathan said in a dramatic way as well while walking toward her and standing beside her as if he was in his team.

"Yeah, I know how responsible and caring friends you both are.Don’t worry, you are next in the series now.Me and Dominic will make sure to congratulate you both every hour on your mating night.I am sure you guys will be thrilled!"

Athena said with a smirk as she walked toward Dominic and stood beside him, dropping their jaws on the ground.

"Oh my, look at them! They already formed a team, forgetting us!"

Justin exclaimed while going toward a shocked Nathan and standing beside him.

The girls were blushing red when they understood what Athena meant while the boys looked at each other, gulping.

Because it’s Athena they were talking about.

In these few days, they understood that she always does what she says.

"Yeah, we will see.Now let’s go and eat breakfast.I am hungry."

Suzanne exclaimed as she started to walk toward the dining room.

"Hope you cooked enough."

Patricia laughed as she walked toward Athena and hugged her.

"I didn‘t but I have some extra batter left.You both come to the kitchen with me.Because you guys are going to help me to make food now."

Athena said with a smirk as she caught both their hands and started to pull her toward the kitchen with her.

That’s when she remembered Dominic who was still standing there, waiting for her attention.

She looked at the both girls who were smirking at her and sent them both ahead while signalling ‘you go ahead’ through eyes.

Then she walked toward Dominic with a smile and wrapped her arms around her neck and gave him a small kiss.

He seemed to be lost in some deep thoughts.

"What happened?" She asked with a small chuckle.

Her smile took away all his gloominess as he smiled at her as well while wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.

"I am so happy." He said while nuzzling his nose with her"

"Why? Because they came and stopped your ‘breakfast’ eating session?" She asked in a teasing tone.

"Oh, I don‘t even want to think about it.I will take revenge for this when their times come.But Ace is the biggest reason.He is so precious, Athena.I don’t know what I would do without him.But for now the reason for my happiness includes our friends as well." He said with a smile.

"They are very precious to us.We wouldn’t have been here if it wasn’t for them.They did a lot for us." She said with a smile and he nodded at her in agreement.

"So much happiness around.I don’t want to go back to my regular life." He said with a sigh.

She raised an eyebrow after hearing him.

But she didn’t say anything and they both closed the distance between their faces and were going to kiss but that‘s when Justin interrupted them again.

"Are you done making babies yet? I am hungry!" He shouted from the dining room, pulling them apart.

"I swear, this boy will get beaten by me today!"

He cursed under his breath before running toward the dining room to fulfil his promise.

Athena laughed at that before walking toward the kitchen.

Within a few seconds, the room filled with laughter and happiness.

They teased each other, talked a lot about many random things and spent a nice time while having breakfast together.

But between all that Athena noticed the longing in Dominic’s eyes as he looked at Ace every now and then.

But he didn‘t say anything about what was going on in his heart but Athena read it all.

She knew what he wanted and what was the reason for his sudden gloominess.

The scene was so beautiful that she didn’t feel like ruining it by interrupting them.

As she kept admiring them from afar, she didn’t expect her son to say something like that.

Even though it was a really innocent statement from him which meant nothing near what they were thinking, it already raised a storm into their hearts and that was not good.

Finding Dominic‘s new nickname 

"Wh…what do you me…mean by that, Ace?" Dominic asked while stammering a little in between.

"I am thinking of calling you something else now but I don‘t know what." Ace said with a thoughtful look as Dominic and Athena shared another look.

Dominic could read the panic and denial in her face clearly.

His face went blank after reading that.

"What are you going to call me now?" Dominic asked while looking at Athena who stood there with held breath.

"I don’t know.I think I will have to take mom’s help." Ace said with a thoughtful look and that’s when his eyes fell on Athena standing there.

His eyes lit up like a bulb and he exclaimed in happiness from Dominic‘s lap only.

"Mommy!"

"You are right, bud.Mommy is the right person to help you find me a new name.Take mommy’s help."

Dominic said with a small smile while his eyes were plastered on Athena.He wasn’t saying anything and just sat there, looking at her blankly.

"Right, mommy! Come here!"

Ace exclaimed and waved his hands toward her happily to signal her to come to them.She nodded at him slowly with a small smile before walking toward them.She was pulled to sit beside Dominic by Ace.

They both shared a small eye lock before giving their attention back to Ace.

"Mommy, help me choose a new name for a superhero.It’s getting boring now."

Ace complained with a pout.

"Yes, Athena.Help him to choose it.I am sure you are going to give him the perfect idea."

Dominic said while looking at her intensely.

She didn’t look at him at that moment.

She looked at Ace with a smile before taking him from Dominic to her lap.

"Hmmm, that‘s a really big responsibility, Ace.Mommy needs time to think.Can you give me some time?"

She asked sweetly with a pouty smile.

Ace could never say no to her after that and he immediately nodded his head at her.

"Okay, mommy!"

He agreed and hugged her tightly.

She hugged him back immediately and looked up at Dominic and saw that he was sitting there with his hand clenched tightly to stop himself from hugging them.

She didn‘t say anything at that moment even though she wanted to.She just knew that it wasn‘t the right moment.

If it was for her, it wasn’t for her son.

As a mother, she knew when was the right time for her son to know about his father about whom he never asked before.She pulled back from the hug and looked at Ace with a smile.

"Baby, why don’t you go to the pack house garden and play with your friends?" She asked with a sweet smile and he immediately nodded his head at her.

"Okay, mommy! Thank you, mommy!"He shouted in happiness and ran away from there as soon as he got the opportunity.

"Be careful!"

Athena shouted behind him but he was already out of sight.

As soon as he left, silence followed them around and they sat there without a word.

But soon Athena let out a sigh and turned to look at him.

"We need to talk."
