Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 340

Henry heard all of their comments and was left feeling embarrassed.

He snorted at Suzanne. "You ungrateful daughter! You'll soon find out that I'm doing this for your own good! I'm not trying to hurt you!"

He wondered why she would fall for such a terrible man. He was nothing like Jenson. Henry glared at Suzanne and Austin before leaving.

Suzanne tried hard to suppress her raging anger. If she weren't in a public setting, she would have already hit Henry.

Austin reached his hand out to hold hers. Her hand was trembling a little from trying to control her anger.

He said gently, "Suzanne, let's go."

She turned to look at Austin with a pang of guilt on her face. "I'm sorry, I…"

Austin looked at her deeply and said, "You don't have to apologize for him. Don't think too much about this."

She pursed her lips and looked at him gratefully.

They had lost all of their appetite, and their good moods were also completely ruined. Bumping into Henry was such a killjoy.

Austin got up, and Suzanne looked at his stained shirt. "Are you alright?"

His white shirt was completely soaked in red wine.

Austin squeezed her hand and said, "Don't worry, it didn't burn me or anything."

Suzanne was tickled in amusement by his reply. Even if she didn't laugh out loud, the gloominess in her heart vanished a little.

Austin looked at her cowardly reaction and had the urge to tease her. Smirking, he went in closer to her ear while whispering, "Mrs. Hall, don't you want to touch it?"

Suzanne felt her face burn. She pushed him away and said, "Sit tight. We're heading home."

However, he grabbed her hand and placed it on his abs.

The moment she made contact with his body, she felt an electric shock run through her. She immediately retracted her hand. She glared at Austin with a flushing face. "Austin!"

He suppressed a smile. She looked so adorable when she got mad. He let out a low chuckle and replied, "Yes, I'm here."

Suzanne wanted to smack her forehead. He seemed like a changed person ever since he returned from the business trip. He would never have joked with her like this in the past.
