Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 337

Finally, Austin said calmly, "I'll take you out to eat."

Before Suzanne could reply, he took her by the hand and led her out of the door.

She looked at him and said with a hint of concern, "You've just had a long flight. Get some rest. I'll just head downstairs to eat."

Traveling was exhausting, and she didn't want him to tire himself further. Even if he still looked rather energetic, she could sense the exhaustion in his gaze.

"That's alright. We'll go out," he replied definitively.

Feeling guilty, she vowed to herself that she would eat her meals on time in the future and not cause him further trouble.

A few minutes later, they were in the garage. They had just entered when Suzanne said, "You take the passenger seat. I'll drive."

Before he could reply, she headed straight to the driver's side.

Austin raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He got into the passenger seat and buckled his seat belt. He said with a vague smile, "Thank you, Mrs. Hall."

Suzanne was a little surprised, but she said with a smile, "Set the location on the GPS. You get some rest. I'll wake you up when we arrive."

She reckoned that he had to be exhausted after such a long journey.

He replied with a twinkle in his eyes, "Okay."

Suzanne drove slower than usual. Austin did not plan to sleep, but without knowing it, he slowly fell into a slumber.

While waiting at a traffic light, Suzanne turned to look at Austin. He was such an amazing man, way beyond her league. They were both from different worlds, and never had she expected that they would become husband and wife.

People always said that one had to be calm and not reckless. However, Suzanne felt that being reckless was not necessarily a bad thing.

When the traffic light turned green, she recollected her thoughts and continued driving.

Forty minutes later, the car slowly came to a halt. Suzanne turned to look at Austin, only to see him slowly opening his eyes.

She said helplessly, "I wanted to let you sleep a while longer."

Austin smiled. "You drive well."

None of his drivers could make him fall asleep in the car.

She could still remember the last time Austin and Yasmine celebrated her birthday with her. She didn't expect him to give her a romantic surprise not long after. She could not help but smile.

Austin poured her a glass of wine from the decanter that the restaurant had prepared beforehand while replying to her, "At noon today while I was booking my flights."

She raised an eyebrow in surprise. However, on second thought, she recalled that he was the great Austin Hall. A reservation at an exclusive restaurant was a piece of cake to him.

She nodded.

Austin kept looking at her, making her feel a little uneasy. She looked out of the window and asked, "Why are you looking at me?"

Suzanne was always the center of attention no matter where she went. She had long gotten used to it, except when it was Austin. His gaze seemed to burn into her.

He pulled her plate of steak over to him and said with slightly furrowed brows, "You've gotten thinner."

Lowering his head, he cut the steak for her.

Suzanne was a little stunned. So, it was because of that.
