Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 322

Marsha and Suzanne smiled at one another. Tenderly, Suzanne explained, "You love acting, right? She happens to be looking for the second female lead for her show, and she has set her eyes on you."

Cheryl's jaw dropped.

The second female lead? She could play the second female lead role in Marsha's show?

This was such a crucial role!

Was this real? She wasn't dreaming, was she?

Subconsciously, she reached her hand out and pinched herself on her thigh. She let out a hiss instantly at the pain.

It hurt.

She blinked, and the scene before her eyes hadn't disappeared. They were still in a private room at the bar. So, this wasn't a dream?

Marsha was amused by Cheryl's reaction and asked, "What do you think? Do you believe me now?"

Cheryl looked rather innocent and adorable.

Suzanne picked up a glass of wine and took a sip from it. Then, she looked toward Cheryl and smiled. "I'll feel much more at ease to have her working with you. Everything's working out well."

The entertainment industry was too chaotic. If Cheryl had to work with anyone else, Suzanne would worry about her following in others' footsteps.

Deep down, Cheryl was absolutely shaken. Not only was she touched, but she was nervous as well. Looking askance at Marsha, she probed, "Ms. Newton, are you sure you want me to act in your show? I'm not professionally trained. I even—"

Marsha raised her hand to stop her from finishing her sentence. With a smile on her face, she nodded. "I'm aware of all these. Suzanne has told me everything. It's no issue as long as you're willing to delve into acting."

Even those who were professionally trained might not have fantastic acting skills. It was always those talents who knew that they had to build their acting skills who would be greatly rewarded.

To Cheryl, it felt like a ginormous cake had appeared before her out of the blue. This was a fatal temptation to someone who had been starving for a long time.

Marsha did not beat around the bush. She said, "There's a part in it where Crystal Bailey cried because she was betrayed by her senior and mentor. Try acting out that part."

This part could be said as a defining moment for Crystal. She bawled her eyes out during this scene.

Cheryl took a deep breath and found her composure. She got to her feet and placed her glass of wine on the table. Then, she looked at Marsha and gave her a nod.

At the same time, Marsha straightened her back as she fixed her eyes on Cheryl.

Even Suzanne had a serious expression on her face.

She hadn't seen Cheryl's acting skills ever since she went to college. So, she didn't know how well Cheryl could act at present.

Cheryl closed her eyes. Placing all her emotions aside, she recalled the storyline from that scene. This was a show she had watched, so she was aware of all the emotional conflicts leading up to this scene.
