Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 206

Henry looked toward Augustus with a troubled expression and said, "Mr. Frost, everyone is against Suzanne taking over as manager of the design department. As you can see, there's nothing I can do about it."

He still hadn't settled the score with Suzanne over the Lloyd family incident. How dare she think he would let her into the company?

There was absolutely no way.

And she even wanted to take over as manager of the design department? She had to be dreaming!

George was extremely displeased with Augustus making all the decisions on his own. He let out a cold snort and said, "Sure, she's the eldest daughter of the Yates family, but this isn't a charity. The design department is crucial to the company, so how could we possibly let someone inexperienced take the lead?"

Yates Corporation's success heavily relied on jewelry design, and that department was their lifeline. Every single decision and creation would directly impact the future of the company.

There was no way George would let Suzanne take that position.

The other shareholders quickly voiced their agreement.

"Exactly! This hasn't been thought through at all."

"There's no way this should happen. Giving her this role would turn Yates Corporation into a joke."

"At least Ms. Seline is a jewelry designer. With her in charge of the design department now, we can rest easy."

They all emphasized how critical the position was. Other than being the Yates family's eldest daughter, Suzanne had nothing to her name.

A manager of the design department who didn't understand design would just become a laughingstock.

Henry's lukewarm words only served to intensify everyone's opposition.

Suzanne wasn't angry, but a hint of mockery flashed in her eyes. Did they actually feel more reassured with Seline?

Suzanne was already aware that Seline was currently in charge of the design department, but were her unserious, childlike designs really something to depend on?

With the Frost family's involvement, Yates Corporation's performance would only soar.

Henry's smile faltered, his hands clenched into tight fists beneath the table. Augustus was using Frost Corporation to strong-arm them.

Henry looked up at Suzanne, who remained calm and unsurprised. So, it appeared she knew that most of Yates Corporation's shares were in her hands.

He had been trying to discreetly gain control of the shares since long ago, but the Frost family had been keeping him in check. Now, with the shares out of his grasp, he was completely at a disadvantage.

The fact that his ungrateful daughter was now joining the company proved that she was planning to take the company for herself.

A sense of threat crept over Henry.

Let her take the company? Absolutely not!
