Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 790

At Seastone University, not long after Shannon left home, Hank returned to campus. Since the semester had just started, the counselors had been bombarding him with questions about his return.

Due to the theft incident at the dormitory last time, Hank decisively moved out and stayed at the nearby apartment prepared by the Jensens.

That day, he drove to school. He had just parked his car and alighted when a figure blocked his way.

After taking a close look, he realized the figure was the senior that had been close with Cecily previously, Diego.

At that moment, Diego seemed concerned as he looked at Hank, asking, "Hi, Hank. I'm Diego Larsen. I'd like to know where Cecily has been lately.

"I heard from the uni they canceled her guaranteed admission and even deleted her file. What happened to her? You're her brother; I'm sure you know something.

"My family is involved in politics. Perhaps I could help—"

The longer Hank listened, the more contorted his expression was. His face was almost cramped up due to the tension, and he interrupted him with a grim look.

"Who says I'm her brother? The Jensens are no longer affiliated with her. Don't even come to me asking about her again!"

With that, he left like he would be cursed if he stayed another second.

He still distinctly remembered how Cecily's dorm mate had almost stuffed the dead body doll underneath his pillow.

No matter how many times he recalled that incident, he felt chills all over his body. Although Cecily had been captured, he wanted nothing to do with anyone who was related to her.

Since Diego couldn't obtain any news about Cecily from Hank, he headed to the female dormitory. As it was around class time, rarely anyone was around the building.

Startled, he seemingly thought of something. His face shifted before he asked, "Excuse me. You look a lot like my friend. May I ask if you're an elder or relative of Cecily Snowden?"

Diego was confident that his assumption was spot on. After all, the woman before him bore an uncanny resemblance to his crush, Cecily, particularly in her eyes, despite their many differences.

Not to mention, she carried Cecily's tote bag. Thus, he deduced she might be some down-and-out relative of Cecily's, who came to help her run errands.

He made his assumptions confidently, unaware that the woman in front of him had a nearly twisted expression upon hearing his words.

Had she not been trying to keep a low profile, she would've lunged at him and screamed at him, "What are you on about? I'm Cecily herself!"

Indeed, she was.
