Caleb felt his heart ache with Kimberly's words. Yes, he'd thought he knew Cecily best because they'd grown up together. But Cecily had done what seemed like the impossible.
Caleb's face was dark as he coldly rebuked her, "There's no misunderstanding! Cecily nearly destroyed me, Grandma, and all the Jensens. The truth has been uncovered.
"If you want to find her, go to the safety agency. Don't show up again."
The Jensens had shown kindness to the Snowdens because of Cecily, but now their relationship was beyond repair.
As Kimberly observed Caleb's attitude, she realized they could no longer rely on the Jensen family's support. She thought of the company and family's troubles and couldn't help but curse inwardly.
"That brat! What have I done to deserve such a daughter!"
Then, she turned to Caleb and Hank to explain. "Mr. Jensen, Cecily's actions have nothing to do with us. We didn't know anything about her practicing dark arts.
"You know how she even harmed her sister, and she's the reason Elora's suffering. Cecily's always been distant from the Snowdens, and we had no idea what she was doing. Please don't cut ties with us just for her…"
Caleb and Hank both frowned at how quickly Kimberly distanced herself from Cecily.
Cecily had indeed been raised by the Jensens and rarely interacted with the Snowdens, but she was their biological daughter.
Just moments ago, Philip and Kimberly had been eager to capitalize on Cecily's connection to the Jensens. But after learning Cecily had offended them, they were just as quick to disown her and go as far as to add fuel to the fire.
That was purely disgusting behavior.
Though Caleb hated Cecily, he couldn't stand Philip and Kimberly's attitude either.
She remained where she was without moving and didn't bother to lift a hand in response.
But just as Kimberly was about to reach her and could barely get her hands on her, something small and swift shot out from Shannon's side and flew straight toward Kimberly's face.
Hank recognized it as one of Shannon's paper figures she often carried with her.
The paper figure landed less than two inches away from her.
Kimberly, who'd been running forward, was shocked by the sudden appearance of an enlarged figure right in front of her. She staggered back several steps in fear.
In a panic, she stumbled and crashed into someone standing behind her with a cry.
