"We… We're here for Cecily," Philip spoke in a voice filled with concern for Cecily.
Kimberly immediately chimed in, "Yes, we haven't seen Cecily for days. She won't answer our calls, and she doesn't reply to our messages.
"She's always so headstrong, and it's just a small fight with her sister…"
She was about to continue complaining, but she met a warning gaze from Philip. Her expression stiffened, and she awkwardly changed her tone.
"Mr. Jensen, didn't you leave with Cecily that day? Where is she now? Has she returned to the Jensens? Could you tell her to meet us? We're really worried about her."
Kimberly's words reminded Caleb of the day he had willingly taken Cecily away from the Snowden residence.
When he'd been trapped in the doll's body, he'd recalled that moment countless times and felt like he'd delivered himself straight into her hands as if serving himself as a fancy dish.
That day was undoubtedly one of the darkest moments of his life, and he'd like to forget about it. And now, these two were here to forcefully bring it all back to him.
Caleb's face darkened instantly. "Cecily isn't here. You two shouldn't come to the Jensen residence anymore. From now on, the Jensens have nothing to do with the Snowdens."
Philip and Kimberly went pale. This was exactly what they feared.
Their household had been in chaos these past few days. First, Elora's burns had finally healed, but the horrible scars remained. It would take a significant sum of money to completely remove them.
Philip and Kimberly were dumbfounded. "Taken away? By the safety agency? Dark arts to harm the Jensens?"
Philip could feel his head spin, and he nearly fainted from the shock. Cecily surely was a rebellious daughter!
"That's not possible! Cecily would never do something like that!" Kimberly refused to believe what she was hearing. She instinctively turned to Caleb and hoped he'd defend Cecily.
"Mr. Jensen, you grew up with her, and you know her best. She's always been so well-behaved and considerate, so how could she ever do something like this? There must be some kind of a misunderstanding."
She looked at Caleb with pleading eyes and hoped that he'd speak up for Cecily.
