Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 739

The larger female ghost was three times the size of Shannon, her head almost touching the ceiling as she floated. The smaller one, though resembling an infant, was equally enormous.

More importantly, they hovered beside Shannon, appearing more like her bodyguards than tormentors.

"T-T-There… There are ghosts… behind you…" There were two of them!

Marie's voice trembled, the shock comparable to what Cecily had previously inflicted on her, both physically and mentally.

Shannon couldn't hear her. Wielding the hazelwood sword, she effortlessly dispelled the system's energy, which concealed the doll.

Instantly, the two ghosts heard Marie's voice. "Ghosts… Big… Ghosts…"

Hearing the terror in Marie's trembling voice, Leah burst into laughter. That was exactly the impact she aimed for; it would make Marie think twice before undermining Shannon in the future.

Leah had long planned to prank Marie while Marshmallow fetched her. Given that Marie was in a state where she could perceive both Leah and the infant spirit, Leah seized the moment to transform her appearance—an advantage of being an old ghost.

Shannon showed no signs of objection, and Leah immediately understood it as a tacit agreement.

Today marked their seventh day inside the dolls. After icing them out for two days, Shannon thought it was about time. She had Hector prepare a room, planning for a one-on-one soul-restoring session.

The reason for the one-on-one session was that she wanted to conduct an experiment on the two souls, which had experienced body takeover, to confirm a particular hypothesis.

"They're my phantom helpers." Shannon wasn't planning on hiding the truth from Marie after allowing them to materialize before her.

"You think I'm a crooked sorcerer, don't you?" Shannon gazed at Marie's soul trapped within the doll, her eyes calm. "You're scared I'd become upset and refuse to restore your soul. Am I right?"

She added, "You know? You'd always been aware that your words would upset me, yet you used them against me all the time. You wanted to lecture me—to assert your authority as my grandmother."

Shannon looked as cool as a cucumber, without a hint of emotional fluctuation in her voice, like she was narrating a story.

Marie quickly asserted, "That's not it. I—"

Without waiting for her explanation, Shannon interrupted her. "Don't forget, Mrs. Jensen Senior, that without this crooked sorcerer before you, you would've had more family members sitting alongside you in that doll cabinet."
