Why couldn't a spirit dream big these days? What if, by some miracle, this dream came true?
Upon hearing his explanation, Shannon was rendered speechless.
It seemed like Kai was quite naive and unrealistic.
However, since she wasn't dealing with a malevolent spirit, she held back her temper and asked, "That man has already turned you down. Why won't you leave him alone?"
Kai looked at her incredulously. "I don't come across people with such great merit every day. How can I just let him go? What if I never meet someone like him again?"
Shannon was rendered speechless.
It seemed like Kai was planning to keep Benjamin hostage, waiting for the right time to ask for acknowledgment.
Shannon decided to stop reasoning with Kai.
She pulled out a thunder talisman and waved it at him, warning, "Get lost. That man is way out of your league."
Upon seeing the thunder talisman in her hand, Kai took a couple of steps back, looking a bit scared. However, he wasn't going to give up that easily.
"Can't he just stay here in the mountains with me?"
"Absolutely not. Don't even think about it."
Kai hesitated, then asked, "What if I follow him instead?"
Shannon looked at him as if he were joking and refused outright, "No."
Upon noticing her distressed expression, he asked, "Is he gone now?"
"He ran off. But I'm sure he'll return soon."
It was inevitable, as Kai had set his sight on him. After all, Benjamin's golden light was simply too alluring to ignore.
Although most malevolent spirits were deterred by his golden light, spirits who had never committed bloodshed had a relatively lesser deterrent effect.
And there was also the irresistible temptation of transforming into a dragon.
Shannon gazed at Benjamin, her eyes reflecting a deep understanding.
After all, no one could easily refuse such a tempting proposition—not even her.
