Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 2144

Eventually, Shannon and Benjamin chose to stay. After all, time in this world flowed differently from the modern world.

They still had time to witness the so-called calamity of Celestria that Lucan had spoken of.

Perhaps it was the honesty of that day, but Shannon could sense that Lucan and Elowen now held a quiet, unspoken sense of affinity toward her and Benjamin.

Somehow, the thread tying the four of them together seemed to grow stronger, as if guided by something beyond understanding.

Amid the three days of hurried preparations, Shannon's coronation ceremony finally arrived as promised.

Just as Benjamin had ordered, it was kept as simple as possible. But even so, the ceremony was grander than anything that had come before.

On that day, the winter snow began to melt, and after days of heavy clouds, sunlight finally broke through the sky.

Shannon stood dressed in the full regalia of Celestria's Queen.

Flanked by palace servants and ceremonial guards, and under the solemn witness of every courtier in the kingdom, she ascended the steps one by one, walking toward the King, equally adorned in royal finery.

This was the coronation… and also another wedding between Benjamin and Shannon in this space-time.

Even if it was through the borrowed bodies of others, in their eyes, they had never ceased to see each other as they truly were.

With each step Shannon climbed, more sunlight broke through the clouds above. Golden light spilled across the wintry earth, warming the day in soft radiance.

Beneath that beam of sunlight piercing the sky above the palace, Benjamin watched as the majestic figure of Shannon drew closer with each step.

Bathed in gold, the two looked upon each other. For a moment, the faces they saw were not of the present, but of the past.

Her eyes curved into a smile, just as clear and bright as they had been the day they first met.

To Benjamin, the Queen's gown shone as brilliantly as it had in that illusion back in Antique Village.

Their gazes met.

The golden bands, symbols of the Divine Power's recognition, gleamed even brighter as Benjamin and Shannon's hands intertwined.

Lucan looked away, his thoughts carried away by the golden light. He then turned his attention to Little Velquin and Trevaris, eyes wide with anticipation.

With a subtle gesture, his fingertip gently touched Little Velquin's brow. Golden light seeped from his fingertip.

Little Velquin's divine soul seemed to ripple as though lifted by the spread of that golden light. The tiny figure was enveloped by it, expanding rapidly.

The courtiers watched as a golden light enveloped the dome of the hall. In the next instant, a familiar phoenix cry pierced the sky.

A dazzling, radiant phoenix soared out of the golden light. Its feathers shone with brilliant colors, more vivid and real than the once-divine fire phoenix.

This was Little Velquin's true form, revealed for the first time since he had broken out of his shell.

Sensing the power of his divine soul, he let out another soft, high-pitched cry.
