Shannon figured she'd been gone a while with Vlad and should explain things to Kai and Rhodes.
She was about to exit the domain when she suddenly sensed a familiar pulse of golden light from beyond.
The next second, Benjamin stepped through a rift in the golden light and entered her domain.
As the Core Vein Stone had been used as a stabilizing stone for the domain, as its original owner, Benjamin could freely enter and exit her domain without her permission.
He was the only one who was capable of doing that.
Bathed in the familiar golden light, Benjamin's expression was dark with displeasure. "You confronted Vlad?"
His gaze shifted mid-sentence and fell on Trevaris wrapped tightly in vines within the array. His black eyes sharpened as he assessed the scene before freezing.

Shannon briefly explained Trevaris' identity and his connection to Vlad. Of course, everything she knew came from Vlad, and whether it was true required verification.
Benjamin listened silently and finally said, "It's probably true.
"Splitting off a fragment of Velquin's divine soul and refining it into a clone under his control was exactly what Vlad would do."
Clearly, this clone wasn't easy to deal with.
Though they weren't certain if Shannon's golden phoenix flames had expelled Vlad's consciousness, one thing was for sure that Vlad wouldn't be defeated that easily, especially now that he had the protection of the power of phoenix.
Benjamin looked at her and slowly asked, "So, what you're saying is that you only needed my golden light, not me?"
Shannon was utterly speechless. That definitely felt like a trap question, and she refused to answer.
…
In a grand room of a palace far across the seas, a man with a strikingly handsome but sickly face slowly opened his eyes. His black pupils held a glint of danger.
Shannon…
Though it was just a test, she'd managed to destroy one of his consciousness fragments with ease.
But that didn't matter. He had countless consciousness fragments, and they were everywhere malice was born and bred…
