"Huh?" Trevaris blinked in surprise and quickly nodded as if understanding what she meant. He tried to move but realized his hands and feet were tightly wrapped in vines, and Shannon didn't intend to loosen them.

Still, he didn't complain. Even while tightly tied up, he focused hard and scrunched up his face.

With a poof, a burst of phoenix flames flared in front of him and formed a mini fire phoenix.

The mini phoenix flapped its wings toward Shannon and circled above her head once before gently landing before the phoenix's barrier.
