Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 2048

Trevaris' words quickly stunned the trio. Kai and Rhodes widened their eyes in shock, clearly not anticipating the real reason.

"His malicious intent wasn't to… kill?"

Trevaris shook his head, explaining, "No. He was armed because he wanted to threaten that woman into staying with him. That way, he could disfigure her and keep her under his control.

"As for killing, that's in the future."

The outwardly obedient and cute boy looked at Kai, his voice clean and clear. Yet, when discussing topics like disfigurement or even murder, he seemed utterly indifferent.

Something was unsettling about it, like a chill that crawled up the back of one's neck.

Kai swallowed hard and asked him, "H-How did you know so clearly?"

Even when it came to fortune-telling, Shannon couldn't read someone else's plans as clearly as he did. He suspected Trevaris might be playing him.

Shannon also looked at him, her gaze tinged with curiosity.

Trevaris, with an innocent and confused expression, looked back at them, his voice quieter. "I just… know when I see it."

He spoke as if it were second nature, but in reality, sensing malice or knowing the exact details of someone's malicious intentions was not something ordinary people could do.

For instance, Shannon might be able to see that the woman earlier was destined for disaster, that she would soon be harmed, and her life would come to an end.

She could infer the intentions of those who would harm her based on her fate and speculate on their motives, but she couldn't directly know the specific malicious thoughts the other person harbored.

Yet, somehow, Trevaris knew it all.

Compared to Shannon's secret guessing, Kai was more intrigued by his capabilities. "That sounds almost like mind-reading. If so, can you read our intentions?"

Trevaris glanced at him and then at Rhodes, eventually shaking his head. "You guys have no malice, so I can't tell."

It wasn't a huge channel, but the live viewership was nothing to scoff at either.

Rhodes, for his part, wasn't especially interested in the whole "murderous intent" bit from earlier, but the moment it involved cat-dumping, his curiosity was fully piqued.

Just as he leaned in, though, his phone pinged—the food order was ready. He froze in a moment of deep conflict, itching to tell Trevaris to hit pause until he grabbed their meal.

But before Trevaris could go into more detail, Kai had already sprung into action—his fingers flying over the on-screen keyboard to type out exactly what the former had just said.

He posted it straight to the livestream chat like he couldn't expose the guy fast enough.

The chat in the livestream wasn't exactly moving at lightning speed—most of it was filled with people asking about ingredient measurements.

Therefore, when Kai's message popped up, it stood out like a sore thumb. "Your husband is secretly planning to discard your cat!"

Not only did the female streamer see it, but so did the viewers.
