Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1963

Benjamin looked at Shannon and urged, "Let's go."

Shannon was about to nod when a helicopter flew up from the foot of the mountain. She immediately sensed a familiar presence overhead.

Instead of leaving with Benjamin, the two of them teleported to the base of the mountain. They arrived just in time to see someone stepping off the helicopter. It was Hector, who was supposed to be in Jamborough.

He'd followed them the moment he heard Benjamin had taken her to another dangerous place.

If there was a flash flood, he had arranged for supplies to be delivered immediately. The Jensen family had always been proactive in extending help to emergencies, even without Shannon's involvement.

Fortunately, things didn't look too serious from the air. A few mountain roads were buried by mudslides, but the village at the foot of the mountain appeared unaffected.

"Since everything's under control here, you two can return on my private jet."

As Hector spoke, he shot Benjamin a meaningful glance. "I know you two have your special ways of travelling, but in human society, it's best not to forget the marvels of science and technology."

Shannon's ties to the demon clans were growing stronger and might deepen further in the future. He didn't want her to become too reliant on her supernatural powers.

Shannon had no objections. If she wasn't in a rush, she preferred normal means of transportation, especially now with Hector showing up in person.

Raiden and Cornelius had planned to have Kai send them back. But the moment they heard Shannon had a private jet, they quickly abandoned Kai and hitched a ride back with her.

"I've never flown in a private jet before," Raiden said excitedly.

Kai snorted. "Private jets are nothing special. They aren't majestic like riding dragons. You two have no taste!"

Despite his grumbling, he reverted to human form to join the others for the flight. Luke had specifically told him not to casually transform into a dragon in public, and flying solo was lonely.

As Button was being transported down the mountain in a cage, it happened to pass by Shannon's group.

Benson couldn't recognize Steen in his human form, but Button definitely recognized his scent.

It stood up in its cage and pawed at the bars. Its round, shiny eyes stared in Steen's direction, and it let out a soft, pitiful whimper.

"Hey man, aren't you coming home with me?"

Steen turned his head away. Playing it cool, he said goodbye to Button with a wave of his hand.

Shannon and the others didn't know what to say.

Only Hector's expression noticeably stiffened with rare confusion and puzzlement. He could have sworn he understood what that panda just said.
