HeartBroken novel Chapter 18

Chapter Seventeen

Stop it with the fucking fake care! The small voice in his head yells out, trying to free from Ahmed’s control.

Tanzeen throws herself at him and sobs loudly. Her cries sound like a donkey's voice to Ahmed. He cringes and tries to detach her from himself.

"Why are you crying? Tell me what’s wrong.” He asks again, still trying to push her away.

"Hammad was right! She is like a lizard, practically gluing herself to you." And for the first time, Ahmed agrees with his subconsciousness.

"Sahaan!” she continues her fake sobs.

Hearing Sahaan’s name from her mouth angers him. His body stiffens as he fists his hands. Seeing his reaction, Tanzeen smirks, knowing her plan was successful.

"What did she do?" He asks her in a firm voice.

"Your mom wanted to give me one of her ancestral gold sets, but Sahaan brought grandma there. Your grandma stopped aunt from giving them to me. And she even gave them to Sahaan in front of my eyes! Why is she doing this to me? I love her like my own sister!" She tells him, trying to bring out more tears.

Ahmed burns with anger hearing her words. This is humiliating! The heirlooms are to be passed through the generations and his bride has every right to get what belongs to him! What will people think of him when they hear of this nonsense?

Ahmed grabs her arm and pushes her inside, closing the door.

He tightens his grip of her arm, making the pearls of her sleeve pierce through her skin. She hisses in pain, trying to free herself from his tight grip.

"Let me go! What are you doing? It hurts, let me go!" Sahaan yells, trying to free her hand from his death grip.

"So? Let it hurt! Why do you love hurting others? What do you get out of it? What is it that you want?” Each passing second, his grip tightens around her arm.
