Grace's heart had calmed down a bit. "I only put up with his cowardice because he's a well-educated man."
After this dispute, the Marshall family and the Brown family had completely fallen out. They no longer greeted each other when they met.
One night, Rose and Houston were fast asleep when Vivian suddenly knocked on the door of the Marshall residence. Houston was a light sleeper. He got up, wrapped in his black velvet pajamas, and went to open the door.
Seeing Houston, Vivian was taken aback. His drowsy appearance lacked the intimidating aura he had during the day. His fair skin and wavy hair made him look as gentle as a young boy. He exuded an air of sensuality.
Vivian's mind went blank, and she was instantly captivated.
"What is it?" Houston's cold voice brought her back to reality.
Vivian's face turned pale. She clutched Houston's arm nervously and pleaded, "Houston, can you help me? Ethan has gone missing. I went to his company, but he wasn't there. I called him, but he didn't answer. I asked all his classmates, and none of them know where he is. He's never been out of touch before. I'm worried something bad might have happened to him... Can you help me find him?"
Houston frowned, his piercing gaze falling on Vivian's hand gripping his arm. He felt a wave of nausea and his eyes filled with disgust.
"Get out," he said coldly.
But Vivian clung to him desperately. "Houston, is Rose at home? Do you think Ethan might be with Rose?"
At that moment, Rose came out of the house.
She saw Vivian clinging to Houston, looking at him with a pitiful expression as if he were her savior.
Rose's heart felt like it had been torn apart.
Vivian had looked at Ethan like that countless times, and in the end, his heart had followed her.
Seeing Rose, Vivian clung to Houston even tighter.
Houston sensed the coldness behind him and a sly smile appeared in his eyes. He stopped resisting Vivian's touch.
I want to see if Rose had forgotten about Ethan, if she would be jealous of me?
Houston slowly turned around and saw Rose's gloomy eyes, filled with loss and sadness, looking at him. His heart suddenly ached, and a wave of regret washed over him.
He abruptly shook Vivian off, so forcefully that she fell to the ground.
"Rose," he quickly ran to her side.
Rose looked at him, her eyes glistening with tears.
This girl is indeed jealous.
How humiliating. Houston had just humiliated me.
