Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1779

Debra finished reading the letter and smiled.

She pictured Michael writing it late at night. The city lights were glaring as he penned farewell with that cool smirk.

He even guessed they'd have a kid by now.

She tucked the letter and cards away, keeping his last trace safe.

Upstairs, Erica bolted out with Solomon. "He peed. What should I do?"

Debra pocketed the envelope. "You're a mom now. Chill out."

"I can't chill," Erica yelped. "How does he even wet the bed?"

"Marion and Randy went for diapers," Debra said, shaking her head. "Randy is gone, and you're clueless."

She hadn't birthed yet, but Erica gave her a preview.

Erica ranted, "The Illuminati cooked up all that tech. Why no magic pill to stop babies from crying? Or a fast-forward button? They blabbed about rebirth. Can't they speed up time?"

Debra and Erica gawked. "Aren't these too much?"

"Nah," Randy replied. "I calculated. Ten diapers a day per kid. 200 packs isn't much. Marion's the real nut, buying these skirts, Barbies, and the like. And he got 600 packs of diapers, emptying the store."

Debra side-eyed Marion. "Why did you buy all these?"

"It'll come in handy," he replied.

"That will be in nine months," she said. "What's the point now?"
