Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1754

Under the night sky, the neon lights twinkled like stars.

On a Ferris wheel, Debra clutched Andrew's arm, watching the city shrink below.

She kicked her legs happily, sneaking her phone out to snap his profile. Only she forgot the flash. The shutter clicked, and he turned.

In the picture, he blended with the city and stars. But they couldn't outshine his gentle gaze.

"Why did you send Marion today?" she asked, pouting at the photo. "You know I can't stand him."

Andrew looked out into the distance. "If anyone in this world can protect you and care for you better than me, it's Marion."

"I don't want anyone but you." She brushed it off, snapping selfies. "Besides, I'm gonna be your wife someday. How can you pawn me off?"

He watched her goof around and smiled.

"Look. Fireworks." Her eyes sparkled.

He didn't look at the sky. His gaze remained fixed on her.

Barton was right. In her dreams, Debra only had eyes for him. Maybe he'd be selfish this once and stay by her side.

She shook her head, unsure what was going on. The voice sounded so familiar.

"Someone's calling out to me," she muttered, opening her eyes.

She reached for Andrew, who was sitting next to her yet felt so distant. Memories flooded in, tangling with hers. She couldn't tell real from fake.

She blinked, only to see Chace shaking her shoulders.

He heaved a sigh of relief and slumped onto the sofa. "Finally."
