Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1741

"By the way, when you get home today, put on a nice dress," Jordan said as he drove. "Ditch those jeans and white shirts."

"Why? Is there a party or something?"

"Not really." He kept his eyes on the road. "Dwayne's son is back. You know, the one you used to hide from when we were kids."

"What?" Debra frowned.

She had zero memory of this guy Jordan was talking about. Growing up with the Potter family, she only met Erica later on. And she met Randy once at her coming-of-age ceremony.

"His name is..." Jordan racked his brain.

Andrew had mentioned it a bunch, but it never stuck.

"Marion?"

"Yeah, Marion."

Jordan snapped his fingers, then paused.

"Wait, how did you know that? Did Andrew tell you?"

"No."

Debra didn't know why the name popped into her head. It just came to her, and her mouth blurted it out before she could stop it.

"Then how did you figure it out?"

"Maybe Erica's boyfriend mentioned it at my coming-of-age party?"

"Did he? I don't remember that."

"But didn't he come back two months ago?"

He stormed over to the black Maybach. It was a limited edition.

Debra, worried his temper would make things worse, got out too.

The driver stepped out and said, "Sorry, folks. My boss was in a rush. We'll cover the damages."

"Who cares about his money? Being in a hurry doesn't mean you can speed like that. Who does he think he is?" Jordan retorted.

Debra tugged his arm. "Forget it. Their car's worse off than ours."

If they pushed it, they might end up owing more. And if this blew up and Andrew found out, he'd break Jordan's legs.

Debra figured it was better to let it go. But as she pulled him back, the window rolled down. A perfect profile came into view.

"Give her the card," the guy inside said.
