Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1709

Mabel and Emma swapped a glance and shook their heads.

Debra realized Yvette hadn't told them everything. It hit her how rough the last 20 years must've been for Yvette in that house.

"We're sorry for lying," Mabel said. "But Mrs. Osborne meant well. Please save her."

They bowed deep, and Debra quickly helped them up. "We will get them back. Don't worry."

Randy smiled bitterly, "Enoch is declaring war on us."

Enoch had never meant much to him growing up, but deep down, he had still wanted Enoch's approval.

Now? He just wanted to cut ties with that monster.

Enoch didn't deserve to be a father.

...

Inside a valley church, Erica woke up to see everything dim.

She could faintly hear voices. It seemed to be a creepy prayer that made her head pound.

She tried to move, only to find herself tied up with ropes. Her body still felt numb from the drugs.

It was Michael, standing right behind her. She hadn't even sensed him.

"Debra and the others will be here soon," he said. "Until then, sit tight and don't try anything."

Her body stiffened. It was not like she could move anyway.

"Tonight's the showdown," he went on. "Before dawn, it'll all be settled. You wouldn't wanna miss this historic moment, right?"

He smirked, then hoisted her over his shoulder and slipped behind the curtain.

Nearby, Lara watched with a grin. 'Michael, I've finally got something on you.'
